WWE Statment on Delayed WrestleMania XXV Tickets

Hurricane Ike Forces WWE toPostpone WrestleMania® XXV On-Sale
New on-sale date scheduled for October 11
September 11, 2008

HOUSTON, Texas, September 11, 2008 – World Wrestling Entertainment® has postponed the ticket on-sale date for WrestleMania® XXV until Saturday, October 11th at 10a.m. CT. WWE officials made the decision out of concern for the residents of Texas as they prepare for the impact and aftermath of Hurricane Ike.

President George Bush has declared an emergency in Texas and state authorities began ordering evacuations as deadly Hurricane Ike, which strengthened Thursday to a powerful Category Two storm, churned in the Gulf of Mexico toward the Gulf Coast of Texas.

Tickets for the annual pop culture extravaganza were originally scheduled to go on sale on September 20th. WrestleMania® XXV takes place on Sunday, April 5, 2009, at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. Tickets will be available at the Reliant Stadium Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations. Further information will be available on www.WWE.com.
