WWE Released Former TNA Wrestler, Mickey Rourke Heading to WrestleMania

-Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE quietly released former TNA wrestler Travis Tomko. He worked an dark match after re-signing with the company following his TNA run, but he struggled due to a preexisting pectoral injury and was not used again. You can watch the dark match here, where he faces Paul Burchill.

-With all the gossip going around, PLUS Jericho hinting on this week’s past Monday Night Raw, of Mickey Rourke going to WrestleMania, WWE has posted the following on their website:

Online sources confirm Mickey Rourke for WrestleMania

According to several published online reports, The Wrestler star Mickey Rourke will indeed be at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania. The Golden Globe winner is confirmed to be in attendance at Houston’s Reliant Stadium on April 5.

This news comes on the heels of Monday’s Raw, in which Chris Jericho issued a challenge to WWE Legends Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper to a match at WrestleMania with Ric Flair in their corner. He also included Rourke, who he said he would buy a front row seat so he could watch.
