Home sweet home………..
Wednesday, November 19, 2008, 09:37 AM EST [Faith, Heart & Soul]
Hey guys! Where did November go? My mom called today to discuss Thanksgiving plans…..I thought she was crazy wanting to plan so early, but then realized it’s already next week. We have been on the road since November 4th and just got home around 1 am Tuesday morning. I didn’t take my computer overseas (due to trying to condense my luggage into two bags…..which is sometimes worse b/c of all the trouble I have to go to just to zip it up every night), so I feel like I’ve been lost for almost 3 weeks now
But, like it or not …………I’m back :)))) I’m still on a different time zone and a bit delerious, so forgive me if I’m all over the place!
Our overseas tour was awesome! We had phenomenal shows every single night. The energy from the fans is what make the shows! They are simply there to have fun (and hopefully that’s what we gave them). The daily flights and bus rides can take a toll on your body….not to mention the rigorous bumping inside the ring. But see, that’s just it. When you love something so much and have so much fun doing it, you forget about all your aches and pains as soon as you step through the curtain. We didn’t have much spare time at all….I’d venture to guess that we maybe had about 8 hours total over the course of the two weeks. I did get a chance to see the Berlin Wall. That was cool! I think Berlin is my new favorite city…I went walking around town right when we got in and was taken aback by its beauty. There’s all of this incredibly beautiful architecture, tons of people, and lots of traffic….yet it’s so quiet and serene all at the same time. I just felt so at peace when I was there.
Things have been a little crazy on tv lately. If you didn’t see, Maria and I had a (short) title match in Manchester last week. At the very beginning of the match, Jesse and Festus came wandering down. I was able to use their distraction to Maria as a ‘W’ for me….I caught her with the ankle lock.
There’s nothing I’ve been more proud of than becoming Divas Champion, but it hasn’t come without a price. I realize that the target on my back continues to grow larger each week. I am constanly watching my back. Sometimes it’s easy to get frustrated or discouraged with all that’s going on around you, which is why I want to just end with a couple of quotes I find encouraging.
“When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!”
“If one dream should fall and break into a thousand pieces, never be afraid to pick up one of those pieces and begin again!”
“Problems are only opportunities with thorns on them!”
“When you feel like giving up, remember why you held on for so long in the first place!”
Remember faith to fight the good fight, heart to believe and soul to search within!
Dream big….love, MM
