WWE and TNA Events at Wrestlemania Week-End in Orlando
For those who are heading to Florida here are the events to take place over Wrestlemania Week-end. Events announced by WWE, TNA and ROH.
Wednesday 3/26
Jerry the King Lawler will be making 15 pieces of art to auction off at WrestlemaniArt Event. Kicking of Mania Week in City Works in Downtown Orlando.
There will be a WWE talent TBA signing in Walmart (8101 South Jhn Young Parkway) from 6-8 pm.
Thursday 3/27
TNA will present a live TNA taping at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Taping will be open to parkgoers and to the public, who can enter next to HardRock Cafe at Citiwalk. If you are inside the park, make a left at the Jimmy Neutron ride, walk past the building containing the ride, then make a right. TNA tapes at Soundstage 21. Arrive early, first come first serve. 7 pm “Wrestlemania Rocks the Block” street party at Wall Street Plaza, admission $5.
7:30 pm Annual THQ Video Game Tournament will take place at the House of Blues at Downtown Disney, admission $15.
Friday 3/28
TNA Impact Taping at Universal Studios. Taping starts at 6pm. Same guidelines as Thursday apply.
WWE set up Wrestlemania Fan AXXESS at Universal Studios the whole week-end. AXXESS takes place at Universal Studios theme park in the New York area (near the Mummy ride, park admission is required). WWE autograph session at 1pm and 4pm Friday at the AXXESS Tour. Autograph required wristband admission. Wristband will be given out on a first come first serve basis when AXXESS open for the day.
WWE talent TBA signing at Best Buy (4601 East Colonial Drive) at 6pm.
Ring of Honor “Dragon Gate Challenge III” in Orlando at the Orlanbdo Downtown Recreation Complex at 8pm with the usual crew plus Tammy “Sunny” Sytch and performers from Japans Dragon Gate. The show will be taped for DVD features CIMA & Go Shiozaki & Erick Stevens vs FIP champo Roderick Strong & ROH World Tag Teams Champions Davey Richards and Rocky Romero. The Briscoes vs Dragon Kid & RYo Saito, Kevin Steen and El Generico vs Naruki Doi & Masato Yoshino, Austin Aries vs Genki Horiguchi, and Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black vs BxB Hulk and Shingo all ready announced, for more details, ROHwrestling.com
Saturday 3/29
WWE autograph session at 11am and 1pm at AXXESS Tour. autographs rquired by wristbands, first come first server basis. AXXESS takes place at Universal Studios theme park in the New York area (near the Mummy ride, park admission is required).
10AM- The Wrestlemania Reading Challenge Finals with talent TBA at the Orlando Public Library in Downtown Orlando. Free Admission.
10:30AM-Batista will be signing copies of his book, “Batista Unleashed” at the Virgin Mega store in Orlando, Florida at Downtown Disney. For more information call 404-828-0222. Book must be purchased in the store for the signing.
12PM- Ring of Honor will run a Fan Fest In Orlando Jai Alai(6405 S US Highway 17/92 in Fern Park, Fl.) from 12-3PM. Free Admission. Scheduled to appear from ROH are champ Nigel McGuinness, The Briscoes, The Age of the Fall, Austin Aries, Delirious and More.
3PM- TNA matinee taping at Universal Studios in Orlando Florida.
8PM- ROH “Supercard of Honor III” will take place at orlando recreation Complex. Matches include ROH champ Nigel McGuinness vs Austin Aries, A Dragon Gate 6 man tag featuring CIMA & Dragon Kid, Ryo Saito vs Naruki Doi, & Masato Yoshino & Genki Horiguchi, Roderick Strong vs Erick Stevens, Kevin Steen & El Generico vs Shingo & BxB Hulk. The 2008 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place at the Amway Arena at 7:30PM with Ric Flair, the Brisco Brothers, Mae Young, Peter Miavia and Rocky Johnson.
Sunday 3/30
10Am-WWE’s Bacon, Bagels, & Biceps Bruch to benefit Davis Maus Foundation and Make-A-Wish at Rosen Centre Hotel (9840 International Drive). $125 admission, includes brunch and Q & A with WWE performers.
2Pm-WWE set up Wrestlemania Fan AXXESS events at Thunder Filed across from the Citrus Bowl.
Wrestlemania XXIV at the Citrus Bowl_ Gates open at 5:45PM. PPV commences at 7PM.
