The chronicle of the life and career of the TNA Founder and the “King Of The Mountain” is coming April 14 from TNA Home Video.

Last week, TNA Wrestling Management Director Jim Cornette supplied TNA Home Video with a library of rare footage from the Memphis wrestling scene from the late 1980s and early 90s.

The tapes contain some of the earliest known matches featuring TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett, several of which will be included in their entirety on his upcoming DVD.

In fact, some of the footage that Cornette donated no longer exists on any master tapes and will be released for the first time on the DVD since their original airing.

Cornette, Dutch Mantel, Tony Faulk, The Harris Brothers and others not only discuss Jarrett’s beginnings in Memphis, but they share many classic stories about the successful territory that saw a surge in wrestling popularity in the 1970s and 80s, which included names likes Jerry “The King” Lawler, Jackie Fargo, Nick Bockwinkle, Eddie Gilbert, Austin Idol, Randy Savage, Tojo Yamamoto, Bill Dundee, Tommy Rich and so many more.

For wrestling fans who grew up watching the Memphis wrestling scene, Jarrett’s DVD will provide a brief look back at the legacy established by that era.
