Velvet Sky Possible Beautiful People Separating and MORE
IGN.com has an interview with TNA knockOut Velvet Sky. Few snippets:
IGN TV: What kind of girl were you growing up? Were you at all the kind of mean cheerleader type like the character you play?
Velvet Sky: Well, I was a cheerleader, but I wasn’t the mean cheerleader. I was the “anti-mean” cheerleader. I was kind of like an athletic Tomboy growing up. I started playing sports at the age of 7. I started with softball and took community softball when I was 7 years old. I did cheerleading and softball in middle school. And then in high school I did cheerleading, softball and cross country and track. And I was once named athlete of the month.
IGN: Wow. So what was your first attraction to wrestling? Was there a particular wrestler you admired?
Sky: My dad watched it back in the day. Old school. When it was Macho Man Randy Savage and Elizabeth. He was a fan of wrestling back then. He would watch it here and there and I would watch it with him too. Macho Man and Elizabeth are two of the first people ever involved in wrestling that I was introduced to on the TV. They were my favorites growing up.
IGN: TNA’s really great at pairing people up and keeping them together, and you’ve mentioned your spot. Do you think there will ever be a time when you’ll have to break away from The Beautiful People in order to further your career? Do you see you and Angelina Love fighting over the Knockouts Title one day?
Sky: I’m pretty sure that, you know, somewhere down the line that’s going to happen. Right now we’re pretty hot and I think that we’re going to keep doing what we’re doing until every option with us as a team has been exhausted. Then I’m sure down the line somewhere they’ll want to do an Angelina/Velvet feud. But I don’t think that’s in the cards any time soon, because I think there are still so many options and so many aspects of TNA that we have yet to conquer and explore and I think that The Beautiful People are going to be around for a long time to come. But I do think there will be, like I said when every option’s been explored and exhausted, an Angelina/Velvet feud. I’d love to stay together with The Beautiful People, and even Madison , who’s a great new addition to The Beautiful People who’s really come into her own, and we’re all so happy with the spot we’re in that I hope that we’re around for a long time to come.
