Why is wrestling still popular?

For the people that get it, there are always people who don’t get it, it is entertainment. Exciting and captures people’s imagination and sucks them into the story lines. That is our secret to success.

What is the secret of being a great tag team wrestler?

Pay attention and don’t leave your partner. Always have your hand up.

What comes with being Teen Mr. New Hampshire?

(Laughs): At the time, absolutely nothing.

Are you mad that you were a vampire years ago in the Blade movies and now vampires are cool?

That has gotten me a little steamed up. I do a vampire movie and a year later all of a sudden vampires are hot. I think I could have made a very sexy vampire in one of those movies but I guess they don’t want to typecast me now. My wife loves that True Blood, she is addicted to it. She couldn’t have cared less when I was a vampire.

What is the song you are singing in the car?
Heavy metal. Metallica or Motorhead or something. I grew up in the 80s and I’m a metal head.

Not Jonas Brothers?
(Laughs): I just don’t admit I’m a closet Jonas Brothers fan. Clay Aiken.

What is the one Man Law you never violate?
Don’t drink so much in a room alone with your friends that you pass out.

Have you seen the The Wrestler?
I enjoyed the movie. I thought Mickey Rourke was incredible. Sometimes I think people focus too much on the wrestling aspect of it. The story was about a guy who had all the success in the world but made dumb choices in his life. He could have been a musician, he could have been anything. I don’t think it was a representation of the WWE. It would be like saying, if he was a musician playing in some bar in front of 50 people that is like what Metallica does when they play in stadium. It is not even the same world. I hope what people will get out of it is a respect for our business. The guys being passionate at what they are doing and living for performing. We are out there passionately putting our bodies on the line and trying to entertain you.

You’re the best but who is the guy closest to you?

Shawn Michaels. I know he’s been my tag team partner but he’s the best guy I’ve ever been in the ring with. He’s incredible. He can do anything in the ring.

Last kid’s flick you saw? (He has a young daughter)

Peter Pan. I enjoyed it actually.

When a producer shouts “Get me a Triple H type,” what does that mean?

I don’t think they could find a Triple H type. Our talent is our business is underrated. I don’t think they (entertainment world) take into consideration that we actually do what they do. That we are actors, that we are performers. A lot of our guys have great comedic timing, a lot of our guys are great with drama. We have a little bit of everything. If there is a producer out there saying I need a Triple H type, there is only one man.

Whose movie career covet?
I’m not a Tom Hanks. I think that the Schwarzenegger is the way for me to go. He did what was right for him. He didn’t try to do Shakespeare. Find a role that is right for you. I’m 6-4, 240 not going to go out there and get some roles.
