Unheard of, some of the women’s matches on TNA iMPACT! (9 p.m. Thursdays, Spike TV) are the highest-rated segments on the 2-hour weekly television show. In July, Gail Kim and Taylor Wilde (Shantelle Malawski) battled The Beautiful People Angelina Love (Lauren Williams) and Velvet Sky (Jamie Szantyr) in the main event.
Difficult to recall a women’s wrestling match in any national wrestling organization in the United States main eventing on major television. Women always had a place in pro wrestling, just not a big place. It’s primarily been a man’s world. Until now. Women campaigning for top spot with TNA
