The Great Khali - Not So Great?
After doing some digging, I have discovered that the Great Khali is actually not so great. It turns out that back in 2001, The Great Khali (real name Dalip Singh) actually killed a 27 year old student.
Brian Ong was attending All Pro Wrestling (APW) wrestling school in Hayward, California. He began his training on March, 2001. On May 28, 2001, he attended an Open Gym Night. Brian was asked if he would be willing to recieve a flapjack from then trainee, the Great Khali.
All Pro Wrestling had been given the task of training Khali to become, what they hoped to be, an amazing professional wrestler. It has been noted by some that their primary goal during this training session was to train Khali, not Brian Ong.
Ong stepped into the ring with Singh and recieved a flapjack. A classic flapjack is when one wrestler is charging another, and the standing wrestler pushes their opponent away and up, so that the opponent lands flat on the mat on their chest/face.
Ong recieved his first flapjack from Singh and, “had his bell rung”. He shook it off, as all wrestlers are trained to do, and Singh performed another flapjack on Ong, leading to his death.
Ong’s family filed a lawsuit against APW on Ong’s behalf and was awarded 1.3 Million Dollars.
Should wrestlers that have have enough power to kill so easily, especially accidentally, be allowed to wrestle?

well to a fact it is true, even thou is was an accident and accidents do happen. But this accident was with an pro-wrestler like no other.
