Personally I don’t think this DVD will satisfy anyone who grew up watching Mid Atlantic Wrestling. With only 8 matches from the Crockett days I’m totally disappointed. 83-87 are the best Starrcade years in my opinion. No Koloffs vs Rock & Roll Express from 85? No R&R vs Andersons from 86? First Blood from 86? Tully Blanchard vs Rick Steamboat from 84? I live in Raleigh NC which is a Crockett town(I used to go to tv tapings at WRAL growing up) and I just don’t think this is a good representation of what Starrcade REALLY was.

Only my opinion, but the greatest Starrcade match ever was the “I Quit” cage match between Magnum TA and Tully Blanchard.

Thta one one hell of an match, but as I recall stig vs Great Muta was a great old rivalry.

I’ve grown to hate WWE dvds now. They release some stuff that can be potentially great like this, but like Shaun says, so much ends up not making the cut. Such was the case with the Horsemen dvd, no War Games matches at all! WTF?! The only War Games match I have is the one from the Brian Pillman dvd. It’s just pathetic. I expect better from the WWE to put out some more Mid Atlantic/Crockett material.

Also WWE recycles too much footage and repeats matches from one DVD to another. I end up paying $20 to $30 for a compilation of stuff that I have from previous releases.

yeah, I wonder why WWE screens out stuff that should be put in DVD’s and not repeat themselves..????
