Friday night Smackdown from Pittsburg, Penn!

Match #1: MVP & Finlay VS Chris Benoit & Matt Hardy

These are very unusual tag team partners - on both sides! JBL states that Finlay is fighting a carbon copy of himself - Chris Benoit. Matt and Chris set the pace of the match. Matt does a beautiful reverse Moonsault off the top rope resulting in an injury to his left leg. Both MVP and Finaly take advantage of this. Benoit gives Finlay 3 German Suplex’s and proceeces to knock MVP from the corner post. Benoit goes for a flying head butt. Finlay anticipates the move and rolls out of the way. Finlay tags MVP. MVP goes for a leg kick and Benoit grabs for a leg sweep. Benoit rolls over MVP while grabbing his legs for the 1-2-3.

WINNERS: Benoit and Hardy

It is announced (as it was here a few days ago) that Ozzie Osbourne will be on Smackdown next week. THAT could be interesting…

Jillian is in the middle of the ring singing when Michelle McCool comes down to make her stop.

Match #2: Jillian VS Michelle McCool

All I can say about this match is: where was the mud?

WINNER: Michelle McCool (side note - do we really care?)

Match #3: Paul London W/ Brian Kendrick VS Domino W/ Deuce and Cherry

London is showing no after-affects from last week’s mishap and goes right after Domino. Deuce jumps up on the outside of the ring but Longon kicks him down while he does a reverse Moonsault onto Domino.

WINNER: Paul London

I truly feel that London and Kendrick could challange the Hardy Boys and give them a run for the title!

Match #4: Kane w/ Boogeyman & Little Boogeyman VS Dave Taylor w/ William Regal

Kane dominates the match. He sidewalk slams Taylor and then gets on the top of the corner post. Regal jumps up on the ring to distract Kane, but Little Boogeyman grabs Regal by the legs and runs after him. Boogeyman clotheslines Regal and Kane jumps off the top rope with a flying clothesline, knocking Taylor down.

WINNER: Kane

Match #5: Batista VS Undertaker
STEEL CAGE MATCH for the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE

The winner is by pinfall, submission, or the first to escape the cage and put both feet on the floor.

An AWESOME match here. Batista has his right thigh taped up, and Undertaker has his right bicep taped. The ‘Taker takes advantage of Batista’s right leg. Batista shoulder tackles him off the top rope. While the Undertaker is lying on a daze on the mat, Batista motions to the ref to open the gate. Before Batista can step out the door, the Undertaker hits his injured leg from behind. The ‘Taker then tries to exit the cage by going over the top of it, but is interrupted by Batista grabbing him from behind.

Batista gets the Undertaker down, and as the ‘Taker lies on the mat, Batista tries to ascend the cage, but once again the Undertaker takes advantage of that injured leg and Batista doesn’t make it to the top. The Undertaker gives Batista a major chokeslam and waits around until he starts to stand up again. Just as he’s trying to get him into a Tombstone pile driver, the Batista counters out and hurls the Undertaker into the steel cage, cutting the Undertaker’s forehead wide open.

As the Undertaker is in a daze, Batista tries to climb up the cage, but the Taker comes out of it and grabs him for a massive power bomb off the top rope. Both men get to their feet and climb the cage. Both men drop to the ground at the same time. It’s a draw!

WINNER: The Undertaker

Mark Henry comes down the ring and attacks the Undertaker after the grueling match, leaving the ‘Taker lying motionless in the middle of the ring.

Edge makes an appearance and swaggers down the ramp. He tells the ref that he is cashing in his money in the bank.

Edge tries to pin the Undertaker two times, but both times he kicks out. Edge waits until the ‘Taker gets to his feet and goes for a spear, catching the Undertaker smack in the middle of his chest for the 1-2-3.

WINNER: And New World Champion : EDGE

Once again Edge proves his unsportsman-like attitude about getting the Championship. He hits the ‘Taker with the briefcase and Smackdown closes with Edge holding the briefcase in his hand.
