Raw Results 4/21 - King of the Ring Results and Backlash Theme Song

Match #1: Chris Jericho VS MVP

Jericho applies the walls of Jericho.

Winner: Chris Jericho

Match #2: CM Punk VS Matt hardy

CM Punk reverse roll up on Hardy.

Winner: CM Punk

Match #3: The Great Khali VS Finlay w/ Hornswaggle

At one point, Finlay is wrapped around the ring post and Khali is slamming his leg against the corner post from the outside of the ring. The ref counts him out! Big Show comes out but there is no showdown.

Winner: by DQ - Finlay

Match #4: William Regal VS Hornswaggle

Immediately Regal puts Hornswaggle into the Regal stretch. Hornswaggle taps.

Winner: William Regal

HBK comes down tot he ring calling out Batista for a quetsion. He asks Batista if he is mad at HBK because he wanted to be the man to take down Flair in his final match. Batista says that he respects HBK’s career, just not how he got there. Batista will end it at Backlash. He leaves HBK standing in the middle of the ring.

Match #5: Hardcore Holly w/ Cody Rhodes VS Carlito w/ Santino

Holly goes for the Alabama Slam, Carlito escapes for a backstabber on Holly

Winner: Carlito

The official theme song for Backlash is “All Summer Long” by Kid Rock off his album Rock n Roll Jesus.

King of the Ring Semi-Final Match

Match #6: Y2J VS CM Punk

CM Punk knee to the face on Y2J

Winner: CM Punk, who advances to the finals

Match #7: William Regal VS Finlay

Regal puts the Regal Stretch onto the injured knee of Finlay, who is unable to continue. The ref stops the match.

Winner: William Regal

PRESIDENTIAL SMACKDOWN ON RAW

Hilary Clinton w/ husband Bill VS Barack Obama

Hilary leg drop on Barack, who gives Hilary the Barack Bottom. Umaga, however, comes out and spikes Barack. Bill runs away while Hilary gets the Samoan Drop. Umaga leaves them both laying in the ring.

Maria, Kelly Kelly, Ashley, Michelle McCool, and Cherry come out and want to congratulate Mickie James in beating Beth Phoenix last week. Beth herself comes out with her stable - Melina, Jillian Hall, Nattie Neidhart, Victoria, and Layla, promising to win the belt back soon. All divas then get into a huge brawl.

Announcement that Mr. Kennedy will be returning next week on Raw.

Match #8: William Regal VS CM Punk

Regal stretch on CM Punk, who taps out.

Winner: William Regal, now the 2008 King of the Ring Champion

8 Man Tag Team Match

Randy Orton, JBL, Chavo, and Edge VS HHH, John Cena, Kane, and Undertaker

Chavo up on the corner ring post, rakes the eyes of Kane. Jumps and kane catches Chavo and sets him up for a chock slam. Then Edge spears Kane for the win.

Winner: Randy Orton, JBL, Chavo, and Edge

Cena FU’s Kane, HHH goes for Cena, who goes back for HHH. Orton RKO’s Cena, Comment below thanks for the skinny…. and the Undertaker double choke slammed JBL and Randy Orton. The only one left standing in the end is the Undertaker, and it is his music we hear going out of Raw.

    Actually didn’t Cena FU Edge ? And then while he and HHH were going at it, JBL hit HHH and then Cena got the RKO from Orton.
    Right?
