Tommy Dreamer Remembers Philly, Shaq Takes Over WWE Universe

by

ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer has posted on his WWE Universe blog. Here is an few snippets:

-I will try my best to put into words just how much returning to Philadelphia as ECW Champion means to me. I was born and raised in New York, but Tommy Dreamer’s career was born in Philly. I remember the first time trying to find the ECW Arena driving around Philly for about an hour lost with Taz. We saw the old Vet,the Rocky Statue, the Spectrum. Where the hell was this ECW Arena it had to be some huge building was are thoughts. Well after asking a police officer he pointed out that the bingo hall next to Forman mills store, may be it. Sure enough it was and my love for Philadelphia began. To read the rest of Dreamers thoughts to Philadelphia gohere.

maryse-5-11-09

-Slam Wrestling got an recent interview with WWE diva, French Canadian born, Maryse.

-”I’m pretty happy to defend my title this Sunday, pretty excited about it,” she said before reverting into heel mode. “A lot of people say that I’m scared of Mickie James and I am running and hiding and trying to avoid her. It’s not true and I don’t know why those rumours are all over the papers, the Internet, everywhere. It’s pretty funny. I know that she is very good, I know that she was the champion four times, that she defended her title against Lita, Trish Stratus, those big names in the Women’s Division. It’s fine. I think it’ll be a pretty interesting night. If you had watched Monday Night Raw the past two weeks, I was the one who won. And I must be better because I’m the Divas’ Champion for eight months. That means something.”

-”Michelle McCool is my all-time number one fan. She, from the beginning, wanted to be me, copying me, did everything to be like me. But I don’t blame her — she’s not the first one, probably not the last one,” she said and later added: “If I wasn’t me I would want to be.”

-”I’m pretty surprised, because being French Canadian, I feel like I’m from a different country, so (that) and being a heel, that’s kind of cool and I’m flattered about that. It’s really nice,” she said. “I would say I’m pretty different from all the other girls. I’ve heard that I have a lot of sex appeal and that’s really something I try to use when I get on stage. Well, you don’t really try — it’s something you have or you don’t have. But I guess I must have it and a lot of men gotta love that!” Read the full interview at Slam Wrestling.

Night Of Champion Thought’s by JR

by

jimrosspicture.jpgJim Ross has posted his thought’s on this Sunday’s WWE pay per view Night Of Champions:

The Night of Champions which, in case you haven’t heard is the ONLY night of the year that EVERY title in WWE is at stake, is “this close” to being sold out so Sunday night’s atmosphere on PPV should be exciting. Of course, Philadelphia is the place where Santa Claus once was booed so any wrestler that doesn’t bring his or her “A Game” might hear it from the folks in attendance. More power to the fans of the “WWE Universe” I always say.(I get paid extra for saying WWE Universe.)

Prediction time for Sunday’s Night of Champions PPV from Philly….did I mention that this was the ONLY night of the year that EVERY title in WWE is at stake? (Just made another couple of extra bucks, thank you very much.) Read JR Pedictions on Night Of Champions to to his official website JRSBarBQ.com.

cm-punk-champ

-Sky Sports got an exclusive interview with current WWE World Champion CM Punk, Punk heading into this Sunday’s World champion against Jeff Hardy.

Cm Punk says that He is an better role model for kids, Jeff has too many demons to deal with.

Talks greatest champion ever:

CM Punk: That’s a really hard call. Off the top of my head, guys like Harley Race, Ricky Steamboat and Eddie Guerrero were awesome champions. I liked different things about those guys. Harley was a man’s man, a tough son of a gun and was the guy to beat for so long. Eddie was great in everything he did; he could talk, he could wrestle and he could do the entertainment aspect of wrestling. As for Ricky Steamboat, he is probably the best role model the business has ever seen.

More tattoos:

CM Punk: Oh yeah, I’ve got plenty of room. I’m not done yet. But I’m not going to spoil the surprise and tell you what I’m gonna get. You’ll have to stay tuned and find out! Read the full interview here.

Ted Dibiase at Comic-Con to Promote “Marine 2″

by

ted-dibiase-jrCFM Music Scene got an exclusive interview with Legacy member, Ted Dibiase Jr. Dibiase attened Comic Com to promote his movie that is scheduled to go straight to dvd “The Marine 2″. Interview is below: To check out EXCLUSIVE photos of Dibiase ONSet of The Marine 2

CFMNews: Is this the first time you have been to Comic Con?
Ted DiBiase: The first time, yes, and it is…absolutely insane.

CFM: So going from doing live shows every week (on WWE Monday Night Raw, Mondays 9-11pm USA Network) to working on a film, what was different about that?

TD: You know wrestling and acting, the film industry….they have their similarities. In wrestling there is a lot more physicality. Well there was a
lot of physicality in this film. I did all my own stunts but when we are wrestling, it is more over the top. When you are playing to a live crowd, you are a little
bit exaggerated. You know….a little bit more. And there are all of those millions of people who are watching on TV at home. And the camera, it catches your facial
expressions. And that is something that you have to let those people at home feel - that emotion your face, whereas people in the crowd who are at the top of the arena, they have to feel it through your movements. Film is more here (frames face). Less is more. And that is something that I learned as the process of the movie
went through and I really enjoyed it. The learning experience was just incredible. I think it helped me a lot with my wrestling, you know? Cause you understand the
importance of exemplifying that emotion. This was my first film. I hope there is more, because it was so much fun.

CFM: Are films something you always thought that maybe you wanted to do?
TD: It was something that was always in the back of my head. My mom always thought I would be an actor. I was always pretending that I was hurt and she
would get worried you know? And I was like, no I was just kidding. And she would slap me and it would be bad. (laughs) Yea it was always in the back
of my head and when the opportunity came, it was just really a surprise to me because I had only been wrestling like 6 or 7 months and they came to me
with the script and I read it. They said “wow how long have you been acting” and I looked at my wrist and said “about 10 minutes!” They said they would get back
to me and they called me a week later and said you got the part. And I was like, I got a part in a movie?!? What part is it? I was thinking it was
something small. And they said…no you are the lead role. And then it hit me and I was just….oh my gosh. It was on from there. It was just
a lot of learning and it was quite a trip and it was so much fun.

CFM: Did you talk to John Cena (star of THE MARINE) to get any advice?
TD: Yea, I talked to Cena and he is incredible. He is in THE MARINE 1 and he just finished 12 ROUNDS which just came out on DVD and is doing extremely well. His
advice was…be yourself. Just be yourself and listen. It was all I could do. It was my first time in any kind of acting role, apart from wrestling. It was different.
This is new to him too. He’s done two movies now but it’s still pretty fresh. He said be yourself, have fun with it, listen to what they have to say. It was a
rollercoaster ride but it turned out to be an incredible film.

CFM: How did you get along with the rest of the cast?
TD: Michael Rooker who plays Church…I mean Michael Rooker was in DAYS OF THUNDER and TOMBSTONE. He was awesome. Oh my gosh he was so much fun. And Lara Cox who plays my wife….we just had great chemistry together. Our director, Roel Reine, he made us do these exercises together. We want to malls and stuff holding hands and acting like a couple.
I had never done anything like that because I had never been to acting school or in Theatre or anything like that so it was interesting. We hit it off right off
the bat. They really helped me out a lot. I was surrounded by good people, great actors….veterans of the business so that really helped as well. It inspired me
to do as good of a job as I could do to represent them and the WWE. It was good all around.

CFM: When does the film come out?
TD: December 29th on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Make-A-Wish “Summer of 5000 Wishes”

by

The WWEDaily is an HUGE believer of the Make-A-Wish Foundation…these wishes turn into dreams, especially for kids that have chosen life over their illness.

Every little bit helps…..God Bless

This press release was issued today from the Make-A-Wish Foundation:

july2_make-a-wish-summer-of-5000-wishes

It’s past the Fourth of July, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation® is committed to our goal of granting 5,000 wishes before summer ends. Thousands of seriously ill children eagerly anticipate their wishes will be granted!

Today, you can help bring us closer to our goal of granting 5,000 wishes before summer ends!

When difficult chemotherapy treatments for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) began taking their toll, Megan wished she had a puppy.

Our wish granters searched for just the right puppy for Megan. They found Sugar, a miniature labradoodle. Megan’s mom said, “Sugar was more than a pet. She was a part of her therapy.”

That’s why I’m hoping you can send a gift today to help us grant the wishes of these brave boys and girls.

Thank you for caring.

Kelly Kelly on Twitter, “The Hitman” Discusses Relationship with Vince McMahon

by

kelly-kelly-diva

-WWE diva Kelly Kelly has just finally joined twitter: http://twitter.com/RealKellyKelly. Here is what she said:

Im finally on Twitter Yayyy :) now i just gotta figure this thing out :)

This twitter account is confirmed through Kelly Kelly’s, a.ka. Barbie Blank Myspace.

-Bret “The Hitman” Hart was interview on Busted Open Radio show on Sirius satellite on XM105. Here is what Bret talked about his relationship with vince McMahon.

“It’s kind of live and let live,” said Hart. “I appreciated when they did the DVD thing with me. That meant a lot with me. I’ve always tried to be more positive than negative. We had a bad ending, but we certainly had some great years together. I’ll never forget those.”

“I think it goes as far back as when I had my stroke in 2002. He called me up and the conversation that we had, I like to call it a pep talk that he gave me at that time.

“I think it meant something and I felt it was very sincere. I think it was that conversation that kind of turned the tide for us. I wouldn’t be talking to you right now if it wasn’t for all the things that Vince McMahon did for me years ago.”
