No Mercy Results

Wow - this one didn’t turn out like I thought it would.

Vince started things off explaining about Cena, and saying that he declaired Randy Orton the new WWE champ. He told Orton that he was going to have to defend the title tonight. Triple H comes out and says that he’s going to fight for the title. And we’re off!

Match #1: Randy Orton VS HHH
for the WWE Championship

Winner: HHH! HHH is now an 11 time champion!

Match #2: Mr. Kennedy & Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch VS Jeff Hardy, Paul London & Brian Kendrick

Hardy, London and Kendrick! I must be dreaming! The match was way too short for me, but the result was:

Winner: Mr. Kennedy & Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch

Match #3: CM Punk VS Big Daddy V

Winner: CM Punk

Match #4: HHH VS Umaga
for the WWE title

Winner: HHH! HHH retains the title.

Match #5: Rey Mysterio VS Finlay

Winner: No Contest

Match #6: Beth Phoenix VS Candice Michelle

Winner: Beth Phoenix - new Women’s Champ

Match #7: Batista VS The Great Khali

Winner: Batista - still World Heavyweight Champ

Match #8: HHH VS Randy Orton (last man standing)

Winner: Randy Orton!

So the belt went up THREE times and ended up being won by Orton! Kind of a shocker!

    Last time I saw a belt change hands that many times in one night, it was defended with trash cans and cookie sheets!

    Wonder what the choices are gonna be for Cyber Sunday…
