Mr. Kennedy-Suspension SUX, Morrison Career Choice IS?
-Ken Anderson has plenty to be thankful for these days.
Wrestling as Mr. Kennedy, he’s transformed himself into one of WWE’s most dynamic entertainers, strong with both his wrestling skills and on the microphone. He’s just finished a direct-to-DVD movie, Behind Enemy Lines 3.
And, earlier this year, he married his girlfriend, Shawn Trebnick.
But his voice quivers a bit as he talks about last year’s suspension from WWE after a Sports Illustrated article included him in a list of wrestlers who had obtained illegal steroids.
“I had been receiving medication because I had been injured,” he says. “I went to the doctor and my levels of testosterone were low, so he prescribed medication. At no point did I ever go out and buy drugs on an Internet pharmacy. My doctor went on the Internet. I had no idea where they were coming from. Mr. Kennedy: ‘It sucked being suspended’
-HUNTINGTON — Doctor. Lawyer. Policeman. Fireman. Those are some of the professions youngsters list when asked what they want to be when they grow up.
When that question was put to John Morrison, the response was professional wrestler.
“Why wrestle? Because I was a fan as a kid,” Morrison said in a telephone interview Thursday from his home in Los Angeles. “I watched it every week. I saw a show on MTV and thought it would be a cool thing to do.” WWE’s John Morrison cashes in on career choice
