More Politicians Interested In WWE
Apparently Vince is slowly but surely going up shit creek - and his paddle is rapidly disappearing!
Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.), chairman of the House Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection Subcommittee, and Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Fla.), the panel’s ranking Republican, requested information pertaining to the steroid testing program the WWE uses yesterday in a letter to WWE chairman Vince McMahon.
“After I called for a congressional hearing on steroid use in professional wrestling in the aftermath of the Benoit tragedies, numerous former wrestlers have told me of rampant steroid use in the industry,” Stearns said in a statement released yesterday. “I am encouraged that a hearing may be held this fall.”
Gary Davis, a spokesman for the WWE, has stated that they have received the letter and are reviewing it in order to respond to it.
