Monday Night Raw Results 4/2/07
Generally the Raw after Wrestlemania is an exciting one, full of rematches. While there were two good matches, the rest was all talk.
MATCH: John Cena and HBK against 40 men in a two part Battle Royal.
Cena and HBK had to defeat 20 men in one round and then 20 seperate men in the second round in order to keep the tag team championship belt. Right after HBK saved Cena during the second round, he threw him over the top rope in retaliation for losing the Championship the night before at Wrestlemania.
WINNERS: THE HARDY BOYS!
The New Women’s Champ, Melina, came out for an exclusive photo-op that she had arranged with the “paparazzi”. Is it just me, or is she not that attractive. Anyway Mickey James came running out to the ring and knocked her flat during the photo-op. Now that’s entertainment!
MATCH: Super Crazy vs. The Great Kahli
A joke of a match. It lasted two minutes.
WINNER: The Great Khali
THE MAIN EVENT: Bobby Lashley vs Umaga (and Armando Estrada)
Lashley dominated this match, slamming Armando for the pin, 1-2-3.
WINNER: Bobby Lashley.
Wrestling is becoming all talk and no action. There is always the possibility that the wrestlers needed to rest up a bit after Sunday night’s action, but who knows. Hopefully we’ll see a better show on Friday night.
