Mick Foley has a Myspace

WELCOME ALL OF MY NEW FRIENDS

Hello to all my new friends out there on myspace. I guess in the same way that Jimmy Snuka used to say hello to “all the people in TV Wonderland,” I’ll say hello to the people in computer wonderland. I’ll admit to still being computer illiterate, so as my style, I’ll be handwriting any entry I make, and calling one of the Foley children to enter them into cyberspace.

I kind of wish I was on tonight’s show as I had a promo in mind I was looking forward to cutting. Just some basic semi-emotional stuff about returing to the Garden as a wrestler for the first time since Mania 22, and what it would mean to me if I was the unlikely winner of the Royal Rumble. But at least I’m in it, and I’m looking forward to the benefits of being on one of the biggest shows of the year without having the pressure of delivering some kind of great performance.

Before I go, I’d just like to address the couple of people on myspace who apparently did a pretty good job of pretending to be me for the past few years. I was told that one guy even had over 3,000 fans who thought they were talking to the hardcore legend. I actually feel bad for the guy, and would be prone to thinking the deception was just harmless fun. If it weren’t for the few people who told him some serious stuff but thought that I didn’t care because they didn’t know that he was a fake Foley.

So for those 3,000+ fans- sorry for the confusion, but welcome aboard if you really want to be on Mick Foley’s space. I look forward to writing more in the next few days, but at this time I have a few children that need a story to be read to them.
