Legend Review: Bret Hart, ECW Champ Get Teary

by

-Brains, brawn and titles galore, one superstar who touched the hearts of all WWE fans during his glittering 13-year career was Bret “Hit Man” Hart.

Hit Man introduced himself to the WWF in 1985 as a low card wrestler who based his game around technical perfection and cat-like speed.

Bret’s potential was spotted by manager Jimmy Hart who quickly paired him with Jim Neidhart to form the destructive “Hart Foundation”.

-IGN.com has got a brief interview up with current ECw Champ Mark Henry. Here Henry talks his move to ECW. Match with Matt Hardy for Summer Slam and His emotions over Olympic antham

IGN: What did it feel like when you found out that you were moving to ECW?

Mark Henry: I was happy to move to ECW cause it’s been a place that’s recognized as being on the edge and a little bit darker. I used to be somebody that liked to dish out punishment regardless of whether I won or not. At some point, something inside me that went, “Why not be champion?”, so now I am.

IGN: You’ll be wrestling Matt Hardy at Summerslam. How do you feel your program with him has gone so far?

Mark Henry: Me and Matt have been doing well; people look forward to seeing us compete. All I can say is that everyone’s looking forward to it except Matt.

IGN: Have you watched any of the Summer Olympics? If so, what memories get evoked for you when you watch?

Mark Henry: I watched a little basketball and some swimming, but I don’t have much time for television now like I used to. I’ve been focusing in on a different wavelength for the last five years, so I don’t watch that much TV.

It definitely gets a lot of memories going for me. I get emotional when I hear the National Anthem, so needless to say, even though I’m not competing, it definitely hits me.
