John Cena starring in New WWE Film

Former WWE Champion, John Cena will be starring in WWE Films’ next big movie. The movie is called ‘12 Rounds’ and it starts filming on February 25 in New Orleans. As all is known, Cena starred in the company’s most successful feature, “The Marine.”

The story line goes as follows: Detective Danny Baxter (Cena) is about to have the worst day of his life when an evil crime lord kidnaps his girlfriend and forces him to go “12 Rounds” around the streets of New Orleans.

The film was written by Dan Kunk and will be directed by Renny Harlin (CliffHanger, Die Hard 2, Nightmare on Elm Street 4). It’s set to be released on September 5th, 2008.
