Getting to know..Londrick
Brian Kendrick was born May 29, 1978. Kendrick has previously worked for Ring of Honor, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, Pro Wrestling ZERO1-MAX, and other various independent and Japanese promotions, usually under the ring name Spanky.
His first match, for the Texas Wrestling Alliance against fellow Texas Wrestling Academy graduate “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson, ended in a 10-min time limit draw and received a standing ovation. He proceeded to make a name for himself in UPW, Ring of Honor, and Pro Wrestling ZERO-ONE thanks to his great ringwork and the eccentric persona he crafted for himself.
On January 13, 2004, Brian Kendrick requested to be released from his WWE contract for not getting enough money from house shows and to pursue a run with Pro Wrestling ZERO-ONE in Japan.
In August 2004, he signed a contract with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA),but did not last long but for a couple of appearances.
On June 28, 2005, it was confirmed that Brian Kendrick had returned to the WWE. During this time, Kendrick would team with his partner Paul London. The team would make their first reappearance on SmackDown!
Paul London graduated high school and went on to college. While in college, London would train to become a professional wrestler in a nearby training school, the Shawn Michaels’ Texas Wrestling Academy.
During his time working for ROH, London feuded with Michael Shane and had acclaimed matches against other Shawn Michaels-trained wrestlers such as Bryan Danielson and Spanky. London went on to sign a WWE Development deal in mid-2003, working a few dark matches before being sent to its development territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling on August 30, 2003.As a result of the number of injuries it was reported that WWE management told their cruiserweight stars to tone down their high flying nature, banning both the 450 splash and the shooting star press. London, who used the shooting star on July 30, 2005 During this time he would go on a long losing streak before returning as a face and re-teaming with the newly rehired Brian Kendrick, who was previously known as Spanky.
