Dwayne ‘The Rock” Johnson Getting SUED!!
A Phoenix woman is appealing a lawsuit against wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson — but she doesn’t want money.
Haber said she is not obsessed with Johnson; rather, she wants an apology for the way she said his staff treated her during an event last year.
“I’m very ashamed that I’ve had to do this lawsuit,” Haber said. “I just felt I was left with no choice.”
After winning an auction, Haber paid $2,000 to meet Johnson and attend a private screening of his film “The Game Plan.” Even though meals and transportation were not included in the prize, Haber said she expected to receive them.
Haber, who has multiple heart conditions, said Johnson’s staff should have been more compassionate regarding her disability.
“They didn’t even call to make sure I arrived OK,” she said. “They should have treated me like the other auction winner.”
The lawsuit asks for an apology, the right to communicate with Johnson’s fan club and the right to participate in events.
“Talking to him would have worked this out,” she said. “No lawsuit would have ever been in the picture.”
A judge originally sent Haber’s case to mediation, but later dismissed it. Haber has filed an appeal.
“I’m not a piece of trash for them to disrespect me the way they did,” she said. “All I want is my rights and respect back.”
Johnson’s staff did offer to refund her money, but Haber said she refused to accept it.
“[I'm] not asking for a penny,” she said.
Johnson’s lawyers did not respond to repeated requests for information.
