-We all knew it was just a matter of time before WWE champion Triple H defended the title against John Cena, but I thought a match between the two biggest stars in WWE would be held off until SummerSlam. –phillyBurbs.com-It was rumored for WrestleMania and it never happened. It has been on the books for SummerSlam, but it looks like things have changed. Two years into the making, the long awaited Triple H-John Cena rematch will headline WWE Night of Champions on June 29.
Last night on RAW, Triple H opened up the show with a promo that was interrupted by John Cena. Cena proceeded to challenge Triple H for the WWE title, citing his win at One Night Stand as just cause for the title shot. The lover’s quarrel ended when Jeff Hardy entered the fray and cited his win at One Night Stand as reason that he should get the next title shot. A match was made later in the night between Cena and Hardy to determine who indeed would face Triple H at WWE Night of Champions. WWE SummerSlam comes early
