Cena on MTV, CM Punk Among Champions
-John Cena will be on MTV Tres hosting a show called The John Cena 5 Knuckle Video Shuffle. The show will emanate from the set of Cena’s upcoming film 12 Rounds and he will be introducing five different music videos from some of today’s top artists. The show will air on July 5 at 9:30 p.m. ET.
-The lineage of the WWE world heavyweight title does not carry the same prestige as the WWE championship that has been held by the likes of Bruno Sammartino, Buddy Rogers, Bret Hart, Ric Flair, The Rock, and Steve Austin. The WWE world heavyweight title is less than six-years old with a much different history.
The world heavyweight title that Punk has brought back to RAW actually started on RAW. Former RAW G.M. Eric Bischoff anointed Triple H the world heavyweight champion on September 2, 2002. Since that time, the title has bounced back and forth between both brands and has been defended all over the world.
