Here are some of the highlights of Mickey’s exclusive interview, provided by The Mayhem’s correspondent, Paterson From New Jersey:

One of the most-recognizable referees in the history of professional wrestling & sports-entertainment, who has spent more than three decades in the business, Mickie Jay, joined The Monday Night Mayhem Radio Network for his first public comments since being released by World Wrestling Entertainment earlier this year. Many stories and/or rumors have been floating around about Mickie’s health since departing the WWE, and Mickie wanted to take his first moments on “Your Home Of Wrestling Radio” to set the record straight: that he is currently living in Key West, FL & loving life. “I’m just living it up the best I can down here in Key West.” The Mayhem’s National Correspondent & former WCW announcer, Scott Hudson, along with Mosh & Blade, were especially thrilled to hear about Mickie’s current health prospects after the initial diagnosis that he received last year. “Back in September of last year, I was diagnosed with lymphoma, which is form of blood cancer & the lymph nodes. And long story short, the doctors here in Key West, which is pretty similar to 1840’s medicine down here, basically gave me six months to live & told to get my affairs in order. A good buddy of mine from Cleveland got me move up there & got me hooked up with The Cleveland Clinic. I went through chemotherapy, and as of April, during my last round chemo, the doctor told me there was no sign of the disease in my body & that I was in complete remission.”

“The Rise & Fall Of WCW” forthcoming DVD release by World Wrestling Entertainment is being talked about by many long-time fans of the company, as well as plenty of today’s fans as well. There are those that believe that the WWE will put their slant on it, and based on this reason alone, some of people who view the finished product may look at World Championship Wrestling as all negative, despite it having several positives over the years. Scott was asked about the WCW locker room & how everyone got along: from top to bottom. Hudson stated “there were cliques inside cliques in WCW” and a good majority of the times, the referees & the announcers hung out, so that’s how he & Mickey became friends. Hudson asked Mickie who the referees in the promotion were answering to & what was their hierarchy. “The referees basically answered to the booking committee or whoever thought they were boss that week.” He added: “There’s a lot of facets of WCW that really didn’t run that smoothly, obviously. But there were a lot of good times we had there.”

-World Wrestling Entertainment has resigned former WWE superstar Nick Dinsmore, formerly known as Eugene. Eugene was released back in 2007. Eugene will not be participating on any roster, but to help groom younger talent.

What: Last night, Seth Green was the first celebrity guest host of Monday Night RAW on USA Network, following the decree of Donald Trump, RAW’s “former owner,” to have special guest hosts each week. The actor/ writer and with Matthew Senreich, executive producer and co-creator of the Emmy-winning Robot Chicken, on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim took control of the sold out Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida to arrange matches and dictate stipulations.

Green began the show by welcoming fans to Seth Green’s Monday Night RAW and promised that he would put together a great show for them. After addressing the fans, the comedic star of both film and television was rudely interrupted by WWE Champion Randy Orton. Green did the unthinkable – he challenged Orton to a match. Along with his tag team partners Triple H and John Cena, Green defeated WWE Champion Randy Orton and his tag team partners Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase in the main event of the evening.

Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill of ZZ Top will host next week’s episode of Monday Night RAW on USA Network at 9 PM ET.

-PWInisder reports Sky and WWE have reached a deal that will allow Sky to improve their coverage (with Superstars and SmackDown being promoted from the 46 minute version to the full US broadcast) and, at the same time, for WWE to keep their presence in the market for the next 3 years.

Sky Italy will also be launching an HD simulcast of their sports channel in August and it’s highly likely that WWE programming will be part of the fold.

-Elijah Burke underwent an undisclosed surgery on Monday, according to a post on his Twitter page. “Minor surgery,” Burke wrote. “I’m kinda out of it right now. Not sure, but Elijah Burke may be finished for right now.”

Burke previously noted that he fell down a flight of stairs, which apparently led to the surgery. He had a recent tryout match with TNA and was said to have been impressive. Here’s hoping he has a quick recovery.

-The Million Dollar Man, Ted DiBiase, came off as the shining star of the program in my view. MDM was a new face/voice and add a fresh element to the show that worked for me. Every weekly, episodic TV broadcast, including and especially a wrestling show needs “new” and DiBiase provided “new.”

DiBiase’s promos felt natural and on point. Give the man some bullet points and turn him loose. Good, verbal stuff all night from Teddy….hey, I’ve known him since day one and I can call him Teddy if I choose. I saw the man wrestle Dick Murdoch and Ric Flair on Mid South Wrestling so back off, Jack!

-Matt Hardy has had surgery according to Matt Hardy so I guess we won’t be seeing Matt on SD for a few weeks. Matt needs some good luck and a few main event ops. My advice to Matt is to rely on your instincts, Twitter your ass off while you are on the mend, come back with the mindset that no one is better, don’t date any more Divas, and do not use one, Dr. Heiney. I’m just saying.

-Lilian Garcia is reportedly, by her on admission, leaving soon to get married and perhaps start a family. I wish Lilian well, love her voice, and can’t wait for her “book” to come out. That last part was a joke.

-Jerry Lawler can’t be serious about running for Mayor of Memphis again. Can he? Why King Why? If Lawler becomes Mayor of Memphis and if somebody in Hollywood doesn’t produce a reality show on it or document King’s term for a feature length film someone is not paying attention. Just say no Jerry.

-Wally Sieber known as Waldo Von Erich passed away lat night at the age of 75. For more information go to Slam Wrestling.

- Here are a few highlights from Jim Ross webiste JRSBarBQ:

-The WWE is doing HUGE biz in Australia as we speak as the Raw brand is on tour “Down Under.” Brisbane had a near capacity crowd in attendance and grossed over $650K at the box office. Sydney had 18,543 in the arena which is a new WWE record for the facility. The event Monday in Adelaide was also close to capacity and sold over $550K in tickets. This international tour is going to be highly successful for WWE which should come as no surprise as Australia is one of WWE’s hottest territories. Even though the trips are all early morning flights and some of the flights are not short ones, the large crowds always motivate any performer and the live events have been really solid from what I have read and from the emails we have received here on our site.

-Sheamus, the Celtic Warrior, is earning good reviews while touring with WWE. Sheamus is a big, tough, Irish kid who has a discernible up side and could be a future star if he stays healthy and sane along with getting a little good luck. Sheamus formerly played rugby which isn’t for the faint of heart and speaks for the young man’s toughness.

-After looking more throughly at the recent 15 person trade announced on Raw last week, I think that two WWE Superstars will contribute in a big way to Raw, Gail Kim and Jack Swagger. I am a big Gail Kim fan and feel she can become, arguably, the hottest Diva on Raw which could well mean another championship for the young lady who grew up in Toronto and who now lives in Tampa. Swagger is a future PPV main eventer and even though that might be a year or so away from happening I think that it will happen. Swagger has the youth, size, and athletic ability to evolve into a great asset for WWE if he keeps working hard, learning his craft, stays out of trouble and off the injured list.
