May 6, 2009 - In its quarterly earnings call with investors on Wednesday, THQ execs let slip that the company is working on a new title called WWE Online.

The game is being developed in Asia, but beyond that we know absolutely nothing. Will it be a cross-platform MMO? A free-to-play PC game? A web-based browser game? An immersive holographic virtual reality 3D experience? We said we don’t know, so stop with all the questions already.

THQ’s wrestling games are some of its core moneymakers, so it’s no surprise that the publisher is working on ways to expand its market. Although the WWE games remain popular, net sales for the series were down 25 percent last quarter over the same period last year.

Tazz discovered his knack for designing during his days as an original ECW Superstar. In ECW’s heyday, Tazz would travel to the company that printed ECW apparel. While there, he would absorb the actions of the designers. As he watched and learned more about the process, his fondness for the craft grew, and Tazz bought the program they had been using and taught himself. Former ECW Executive Paul Heyman discovered the now-SmackDown announcer’s hidden talent, and enlisted the former ECW Champion to design various company and Superstar logos along with ring attire. Available in sizes small (7 1/8), medium (7 1/4), large (7 3/8), extra-large (7 1/2), 2XL (7 5/8) and 3XL (7 3/4), the caps feature logos of (from top left) Edge, DX (Shawn Michaels and Triple H), Triple H, John Cena, Undertaker, Rey Mysterio and The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy). Kennedy - That kind of stuff is totally out of my hands. If the great and powerful McMahon wants it, he gets it. If not, he doesn’t. Simple as that. I’d tell you that sometimes it’s best just to be away completely for awhile and really let the fans yearn to have you back!!
