Tonight should be one hell of a Pay-par view where, in my prediction, titles will change hand. Vengence will come to those who need it the most.
Melina has had the belt way to long. Seems to me that new comer needs to be champ and spice things up a bit. Candice Michelle has been on the up and up proving she can hold her own. This T&A Matinee match should be a “doozey”. My pick is Candice Michelle.
Jimmy Wang Yang has been on the rise ever since I have seen him tag up with Londrick in a six man tag. Chavo is not ready to just give his title away without a fight. Chavo is going to keep his title for a bit right now until someone comes around that can over throw the Guerrerro legacy.
Your guess is a good as mine - Deuce and Domino will have their hands full tonight. The only possible tag team I can think of would the Major brothers, Brett and Brian. These two formable tag teams sure are going to put up one hell of a show. Major Brothers are just getting started here at WWE, but are hoping that their careers will go far. Going against Deuce and Domino shouldn’t be easy, but I believe Majors Brothers are going to pull off a huge upset and winning the gold for the new beginners in WWE.
I can’t wait for this match as both tag teams can hold their own. The Hardy boys got backstabbed by a couple of Rednecks. Cade and Murdock don’t deserve the titles because they didn’t earn them fare and square. The Hardy boys are going to do all they can to get them back and The Hardy’s once again will be carrying the gold. But not for too long, as there is a new tag team in the mist and they are known as Londrick - total non stop action just waiting to be unleashed.
Flair is going to give MVP and old fashioned, taken to school wrestling lesson. MVP won the belt and his career is on the up and up - he has to show Flair that old school is not the only school out there. Expect Flair to hopefully pull this match out to become the new champ. Flair, in my, mind rightfully deserves his time as champ.
Even though Marella is a good wrestler, he is no match for the Samoan Bulldozer. Marella has held the title for a little too long. His wrestling abilities are not up to par yet and he will be given a few lessons from Umaga. I think Umaga will be going home with the gold, ending it out with the samoan spike.
CM Punk is making himself known in the wrestling world - he is a formible wrestle that can hold his own. Even though Benoit has just been drafted to ECW from Raw, he is going to make each and everyone know why he is here on ECW. This is the rabid Wolverine’s time to get the gold and become the new ECW champ which Benoit rightly desreves.
This match outta result into an mind blowing catastrophe. Edge still wants to stay the champ, which he has taken shamelessly from the Understaker. But Batista is the rightful champ and he needs his gold back where it belongs. Don’t count out the Understaker - I believe he will make his return debut tonight to claim what was stolen from him and take a round out of Edge and Batista, having all three men compete for the title.
Tonight’s match should be a rememberable match, with all men fight for the prestigious title for the World Wrestling Federation. This match has me dumbfounded. This should be a great, entertaining match with lots of mishaps and turn of events to come.
Judgement Day - and here we go!
Match #1: Ric Flair VS Carlito
A pretty quick match here - not quite what I expected. For most of the match Carlito dominates. Flair manages, though, to get the Figure Four on Carlito and Carlito taps out.
Winner: Ric Flair
What kind of a “lesson” was that? How to get your ass whooped?
Match #2: Vince McMahon & Umaga & Shane McMahon VS Bobby Lashley
Wow - sorry, I blinked and almost missed this match! Bobbly Lashley comes out on the offensive and manages to keep Umaga out of the fight, meaning it’s just him and Shane. And, of course, Lashley dominates.
Winner: Bobby Lashley
Of course, Vince tells Lashley that since he didn’t beat the “ECW Champion” (himself) that he does not get the belt. Nice twist, Vince.
HBK’s been having some issues before the match - Randy Orton decided to go over to him and ram his face into a fence. The doctor checks HBK out and says that he’s not fit to wrestle.
Match #3: CM Punk VS Elijah Burke
I’m not quite sure what bothered me about this match, but it seemed kind of off. There were some good technical moves, but all in all it was kind of dull.
Winner: CM Punk
Match #4: Randy Orton VS Shawn Michaels
Yeah - good match - uh huh - what with Shawn passing out a few minutes in and all. Orton starts slamming his face right away, and Michaels doesn’t last five minutes before slamming down onto the matt on his own volition. The ref calls it and the EMT’s rush down to the stage. Sorry to say, I didn’t see this one coming! I’m kind of disappointed - one of the things I look forward to is watching HBK kick some ass, and now, instead of getting what he deserves, he’s being made to play the resident “hurt” boy. So Vince has decided to take his “problem child” and promote him, while he takes one of his best and demotes him. Yeah - that makes sense Vince.
WINNER: Randy Orton
Match #5: Hardy Boys VS Cade & Murdock
A decent match here. The Hardy Boys always give the high flying action, and once again, they don’t disappoint. I still say that Cade and Murdock need to wrestle on their own - they’re better that way, but seeing them give respect to another team is satisfying to watch. Jeff ends up going high at the end for his beautiful Swan Ton for the finish.
WINNER: Hardy Boys
Match #6: Edge VS Batista
A quicker match than I anticipated. Edge goes for Batista’s injured leg time and time again, and comes out with such a cocky attitude that you are almost begging for him to lose the belt. The two, for some reason, don’t seem to work well together - there’s no excitement in the match. I’m actually glad that it was as short as it was.
WINNER: Edge
Match #7: Chris Benoit VS MVP
The first “longish” match of the night, this is a 2 out of 3 falls match. MVP and Benoit go right at each other, but it seems like Benoit’s injured leg (from the Shalaleigh the other night) is a problem, and MVP goes right for it. MVP gets him down into the Playmaker for the first pin.
They lose the crowd in this one, and they actually start chanting, “This is boring” over and over - I agree. Benoit gets MVP into the crossface but MVP, who had been working the knee all match, elbows the knee which makes Benoit roll over in agony. MVP get the roll-up for the pin.
WINNER: MVP
Match #8 The Great Khali VS John Cena
I expected this to be good, but it was actually better than I thought it would be - and shorter! I figured it would take awhile for Cena to wear Khali down, but that’s not the technique he took at all. After some jumping around by Cena, he finally manages to get Khali in the STFU, making Khali tap out.
WINNER: John Cena
The interesting thing about this match is seeing how loud the crew had to blast the music to cover up the “boo’s” from the audience. They’ve taken a strong dislike to Cena, and nothing Vince has been able to do, so far, has helped. I think the match between Khali was an attempt to turn the tide, so to speak, but it obviously didn’t work.
Friday Night Smackdown from Baltimore, Maryland!
Match #1: Matt Hardy VS MVP
Jeff isn’t with Matt tonight, and for some reason, Matt always wrestles differently without his trusty side-kick. It almost seemed as if Matt was playing it up for MVP’s benefit - possibly to boost the anticipation to Judgement Day? In a last ditch effort, Matt gets MVP in a bulldog from the corner post and drops a huge elbow. MVP windw up locking Hardy up in the Play Maker in the corner for the count.
WINNER: MVP
MVP says in a quick interview in the ring that he will not beat Benoit once in the match on Judgement Day - he will beat him twice to become the New United States Champion.
I saw nothing too amazing in MVP’s wrestling - Hardy played it up great, though.
Match #2: Deuce & Domino w/ Cherry and Chavo Guerrero VS Brian Kendrick, Paul London and Jimmy Wang Yang
6-Man tag team match
Kendrich and London totally working together as a solid tag team (they should be re-named Londrick). As one moves, the other simulatneously thinks and reacts. I have no seen a tag team that is so unified (other than the Hardys) in a long time. Jimmy Wang Yang gives a beautifuli moonsault off the top rope onto Chavo for the count.
WINNER: Londrick and Yang
Yang looked like he was right at home wrestling with the boys, but how many times do they have to wrestle the “Fonz” boys before we see them wrestle someone else?!
Match #3: Mark Henry VS Funaki
Funaki does not seem too impressed with Mark Henry (the world’s strongest man), but Henry lets him know exactly who he is. A huge head butt from Henry to Funaki with Fuanki ending up on the canvas. A final effort from Funaki - he jumps up onto the top rope and jumps off, but Henry caught him mid-air and power slammed him onto the mat for the 1-2-3.
WINNER: Mark Henry
Match #4: Chris Benoit VS Finlay
Finlay start out trash talking Benoit, but Benoit returns the favor with a slap to the face and starts going onto Finlay. Finlay heads after Benoit’s knee, hoping to get the uper hand. He applies pressure to the knee by putting him in teh single leg Boston crab. Benoit counters and gets Finlay into two German Suplex’s. Hornswaggle jumps up from under the rope to distract Benoit. Finlay grabs the Shilaleigh, but Benoit counters with a crippler cross face. Just bevore Finlay submits, MVP enters the ring and Benoit lets go of the submission hold to attack MVP. Finlay grabs the Sheileigh and hits Benoit on his injured leg, knocking him down. Finlay heads off and leaves Benoit for MVP. MVP beats Benoit motionless as a message for Judgement Day.
WINNER: A broken Benoit by disqualification.
Ashley announces “The Prince Of Darkness” - Ozzy Osbourne has finally come to Smackdown! He performed “I Don’t Wanna Stop” from his new Black Rain Album.
Match #5: The Miz VS Christian York
Miz takes control of York (who the hell is Christian York?) and throws York into the corner rope. He runs towards the rope and clotheslines York into the rope. He throws York down for a count and gets to 2 before he grabs him back up and gives him a swinging neck breaker for the count.
WINNER: The Miz
A total waste of five minutes.
Match #6: Kane VS William Regal w/ Dave Taylor
The Boogeyman and Little Boogeyman show up in the corner of Kane, with a smile on their faces.
Regal attacks Kane with numerous lefts to the head and a right boot to the face. Regal puts a boot on Kane’s chest and gets him in the corner, delivering numerous rights and lefts to the head of Kane. Kane chops Regal and Regal goes flying away from Kane. Kane sidewalk slams Regal onto the Matt and goes for a hammer punch - DOWN goes Regal.
Dave Taylor grabs Little Boogeyman and throws him into the ring. As Little Boogeyman runs past Regal, Kane grabs Regal by the neck for a chokeslam from Hell for 1-2-3.
WINNER: Kane
Edge comes out for his “Inaugural Address” and states the HE is the Heavyweight Champion to the crowd chanting “You SUCK!”. Edge tells the crowd that he will take all comers. Teddy Long holds him to that and says that he will take Batista on Judgement Day. Edge replies that he wants Batista, anytime, any place. Batista’s music plays and “the animal” walks to the ring dressed in a suit and shades. Batista “welcomes” Edge to Smackdown and says that he will do to Edge as he did to the Undertaker.
“That belt belong to me and I WILL be taking it back.”
Smackdown closes as Batista and Edge are in the ring looking eye to eye.
Smackdown, Smackdown results, Batista, Edge, Hardy boys, Undertaker, Kane, Ozzy Osbourne
And it’s Backlash - the first PPV after Wrestlemania, which usually makes it one of the most exciting - and this Backlash did NOT disappoint!
An excellent match with the Hardy’s doing their high flying stunts. Cade and Murdoch managed to get in a good double-teamed leg drop, but in the end it was a beautiful Swanton that sealed the deal.

There were actually some good moves in this match - most of them coming from Mickie James, including a beautiful cartwheel and monkey flip. Melina landed in a split at one point, making the crowd go wild, but a reverse DDT was the final move.

Benoit dominated this match, including not one, not two, but FIVE German Suplexes! Some great technical moves, but then again, Benoit is the best at that!

Shane and Umaga do most of the damage on Lashley - Vince gets in a couple of good hits, then runs away to avoid the muscled champ. Umaga and Shane keep going on the powerhouse, and eventually wear him down. Twice Vince tries to get the pin on Lashley, but to no avail. Finally Umaga goes for a huge splash from the top, tags in Vince, and we have a new ECW Champion.

Possibly the longest match of the night. The ‘Taker took it “old school” most of the way, getting in some awesome drops from the top. A beautiful led drop from the Undertaker takes care of the announcer’s table (it’s a PPV - SOMEONE had to go through it), and Batista amazes everyone by surviving a Tombstone! They head up the ramp near the entrance and fight really close to the edge. Batista runs and spears the Undertaker off of the set and everything falls down. No one’s moving. The ref calls for the EMT’s and does the count-out.

The most hyped up match of the night. Not surprisingly, Orton DOES appear to wrestle (as we knew he would). The match is everything you would expect from these four superstars. It’s an all for one in the beginning, with Edge and Cena really going at it while HBK and Orton have their own little feud. Cena goes down after he hits the post with his shoulder and Edge and Orton decide to work together. Edge jumps off the apron onto Cena and the announcer’s table (those tables never survive a PPV), and manage to get a double boston crab on HBK. As the match gets near the end it seems like everyone’s going up top, with a massive Tower of Doom that takes everyone down. They resume the match, and Edge tries to spear Cena - but at the last second, Cena moves and Edge takes down Orton! Cena falls on Orton for the 1-2-3.

The match ends and HBK tells Cena that he is luck - he then returns to a corner to think. Once again, HBK misses his shot for the title.

Backlash, WWE, John Cena, Randy Orton, HBK, Edge, The Undertaker, Batista, Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon, Bobby Lashley, Chris Benoit, The Hardy Boys, WWE Champion, Tag Team Champion, ECW Champion
Edge vs Randy Orton vs Fit Finlay vs King Booker w/Queen Sharmell vs CM Punk vs Mr Kennedy vs Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy
Shocker of shockers a Hardy did NOT win a ladder match! That caught me by total surprise as I was sure Matt or Jeff would walk away victorious. Instead Edge and Finlay were at their best each taking multiple turns trying to claw their way up the ladder and getting decimated before they reached the top
WINNER: Mr. Kennedy retrieved the briefcase to win it all.

Great Khali vs. Kane
You’d think these two giants would be a bit slower than they are, but they’re actually pretty fast. Unfortunately this match wasn’t as great as I thought it was going to be.
WINNER: The Great Khali The highlight was probably at the end when The Great Khali choked Kane with a chain before he left the arena

Chris Benoit vs. MVP
Unfortunately Benoit’s arm was hurting him so he did not use the finisher I thought he would, but the result was the same.
WINNER: Chris Benoit with a flying finishing move.

Batista vs. Undertaker
A pretty good match from the two powerhouse wrestlers. Batista even got a few good shots in, including slamming the ‘Taker through the announcer’s table (a Wrestlemania must)
WINNER: And New World Champion – The Undertaker, of course.

ECW New Breed vs. ECW Originals
The end of the brawl of ECW champs found RVD and Matt Striker in the ring together. Cue RVD’s frog splash and we have a winner!
WINNER(s): The ECW Originals

Hair vs Hair. Battle of the Billionaires: Donald Trump’s representative Bobby Lashley v Vince McMahon’s representative Umaga
Of course Vince couldn’t play fair. Armando Estrada was also out in the ring trying to turn the favor on Vince’s side. Umaga constantly cheated leaving referee Stone Cold Steve Austin no choice but to do as he promised and hook him in the eye. Umaga fought back and gave Austin a Samoan Spike. When Austin refuses to count both wrestlers out Shane McMahon appears and puts his two cents into the match. After Austin is down from the Samoan Spike, Shane and Umaga team up to take Bobby Lashley down. Once Lashley’s laying on the mat, Shane takes his shirt off and we see a referee shirt underneath. Shane goes to count him out but Austin shakes it off and drags Shane out of the ring where he preceeds to beat the hell out of him. Umaga goes for Austin once more but Austin stuns him and Lashley takes over from there.
WINNER: Bobby Lashley and Donald Trump.
I have to admit, watching Vince get his hair and one eyebrow shaved off was probably one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long, LONG time! For more photos of the head shaving see the bottom of the post.
Lumberjill match/Womens title – MELINA PEREZ (c) v ASHLEY MASSARO
And our T&A Matinee delivered exactly what it promised…which is a bunch of skin!
WINNER: Melina It was after the match that all the WWE divas came out for a free-for-all. All WWE needed was a little bit of jello and some men flinging dollar bills around and we’d have been in business!

John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels
Shawn Michaels has not won the WWE Championship title for nine long years. The match was everything it promised, with these two beating the hell out of each other. Shawn Michaels had the crowd on his side as they were all cheering, hoping for his victory. But, unfortunately, after the two of them were so exhausted that they could do little more than crawl across the mat, Shawn did not come out victorious. Cena put him in the STFU and it was all over.
WINNER: John Cena

The big night is tonight. Bigger than the Superbowl in my house. How’s it going to go down? Just like this.
ECW Originals vs. New Breed
The Originals include Tommy Dreamer, Sandman, Sabu and Rob Van Dam. New Breed brats are Elijah Burke, Matt Striker, Marcus Cor Von and Kevin Thorn.
In my opinion, experience always wins. Watch for the “old kids on the block to kick some butt.
Women’s Champion Melina vs. Ashley
A lumberjill match with all the WWE Divas surrounding the squared circle. This is “Nothing Butt T&A Matinee. Sex sells and Vince knows it.
Kane vs. The Great Khali
This match could also be called, “The Wanna-Be Actors. Which giant will prevail? Kane, hands down.
United States Champion Chris Benoit vs. MVP“The Crippler vs. Montel Vontavious Porter. With a name like that he’s bound to lose. Look for Benoit to win this one finishing with a crippler-cross face.
Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Edge, Mr. Kennedy, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, King Booker, Finlay, Randy Orton and C.M. Punk.
Straight out when you think ladder match you just know the Hardy boys will prevail!
Batista vs. The Undertaker
It’s “The Animal vs. “The Deadman for the Heavyweight championship. Like it or not I see the ‘Taker winning by disqualification.
WWE Champion John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels
For the WWE Championship. I’m thinking that this is where Triple H will make his grand entrance (since when has he missed a Wrestlemania?) and DX will take Cena down.
Battle of the Billionaires
WWE’s Coup de gras. Trumb with Bobby Lashley in his corner and Vince with Umaga in his. Don’t forget the special guest referee, “The Texas Rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Will the Donald with his “Twin Towers stand up against the CEO with his “Grape Fruits?
I’m thinking the billionaires will have another trick up their sleeves. Something unexpected, after all, this Wrestlemania IS being held on April Fool’s Day.
WWE has announced another tag match for No Way Out with this one having title implications. The match will be an exact replica of December’s Armageddon match. The match will be a four way tag team ladder match for the WWE Tag Team Championship currently held by Paul London and Brian Kendrick. The match will pit London and Kendrick against MNM partners Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury, The Hardys, and Dave Taylor & William Regal.
For those who recall the match at Armageddon was when Joey Mercury’s face was smashed open by a botched see saw ladder move that caused him to bleed profusely. The accident spawned a feud between The Hardys and MNM which has lasted since the accident. Although the it was unplanned the storyline has been a pretty good one. This match may be a chance for the tag titles to switch hands before Wrestlemania where in all likelihood they could be on the line. Obviously MNM and The Hardys are the top contenders for the title and if either wins the titles at No Way Out their feud may finally culminate at Wrestlemania.
Signs seem to be pointing towards their being new champions as London and Kendrick have had the titles for quite some time now. I am surprised WWE didn’t throw Deuce and Domino into the mix instead of Dave Taylor and William Regal given the push they have been giving them on TV. This match shouldn’t be too bad and even if it falls short of the Armageddon match it will still be pretty good. This match joins World Heavyweight Champion Batista & Undertaker vs. WWE Champion John Cena & HBK as the only matches on the card so far with the PPV less than 2 weeks away.

It’s a knockdown, dragged-out, in-your-face power bomb that will lay the smack down daily with all the freshest news and information about the fantastic world of wrestling. It’s a no-holds-barred, no disqualification hard-core match that will rock your world daily with news about wrestlers from today, yesterday and tomorrow. What’s your name? IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS ‘CAUSE I’M THE ONE RUNNING THE SHOW!
