There’s some crazy things being said in the media right now about John Cena and steroids. Cena had an interview recently with CNN and was asked about steroid use. He made a comment that went something like this:
“This is a crazy question. And it’s something that — it’s tough to answer just because of the way society is now. The way people conceive things because performance-enhancing drugs have got the spotlight, and it’s a hot thing to talk about. I can’t tell you I haven’t, but you’ll never be able to prove that I have.?
The WWE is saying that this interview has been skewed - THEY say that John Cena began answering a question about whether or not he used steroids by saying, “Absolutely not!”
The WWE believes that CNN should apologize. What do you think?
Want some good news for the weekend? This one’s a few days old, but I just heard about it: Hulk Hogan will be one of the hosts for the new American Gladiators!
Do you remember the show from years ago? It ran from the late eighties to the late nienties and was very popular. I know that I used to love it. I loved watching the “normal people” go against the huge Gladiators.
Hogan will be co-hosting with boxing’s great Laila Ali, who is Muhammad Ali’s daughter. Ali became a boxing champion in her own right and then showed that she could dance when she joined “Dancing with the Stars” last year.
It’ll be interesting to see these two powerhouses co-hosting such an awesome show. Check out the homepage (not much there yet) where you can get tickets to attend the show. The tickets are free and taping starts on November 28th, so if you’re going to be in LA, or know someone who is, get some tickets to see Hogan and Ali hosting a whole new generation of Gladiators!
Apparently Chyna is a dog lover! The 9th Wonder of the World attempted to purchase a Chihuahua from a co-op in Pheonix (for the record Chyna: you should’ve bought it from a pound or at least from a breeder that you were allowed to meet) for $4,000. Her dog never arrived, so she took the co-op to Christina’s Court (does anyone have this show? I can’t find it). Christina’s Court found in favor of Chyna, which upset the co-op immensely. According to TMZ, the owner of the co-op said:
“We have sold several other puppies to Chynna [sic] with no problem. Her most recent order was cancelled after our cobreeder wanted more for the puppy once he found out it was going to Chynna. Because we’re a coop, each Breeder has an individual responsibility to provide delivery of their pups. Another problem arose when we found out that one or more of the pups previously shipped to her had died after escaping into the street. As Breeders and animal lovers, we are always concerned about alleged cases of animal negligence or abuse. We agreed to appear with her on Christina’s Court to resolve this issue and believed that Chynna was a friend. That court episode turned out to be an ode to Chynna with video clips and photos from her various ventures shown during the kangaroo courtroom happening. We quickly found out that Christina merely wanted to turn the event into a lovefest for Chynna and had no intention of giving us a fair hearing. I guess she hoped that Chynna would boost her ratings (good luck on that). Judging from her lack of concern for us or the pets involved, the only thing Christina should be judging is Michael Vick dog fighting contests.”

TMZ is reporting that Nick Hogan is being charged with Reckless Driving
Involving Serious Bodily Injury resulting - he is also being charged with use of a motor vehicle in commission of a felony, being under the age of 21 and operating his car with a breath alcohol level of .02 or higher, and illegal window tint.
The warrant was issued this morning and Nick showed up at the Clearwater Police Dept. to turn himself in a little before 10 EST this morning. Here’s what the official press release said:
Investigators interviewed several witnesses who stated they saw Bollea (Driver 1) and Daniel
Jacobs (Driver 2) racing, before Bollea lost control of the his vehicle and crashed into a tree. The
vehicle came to rest in the median of Court Street, east of South Missouri Ave at 7:31 p.m. on
August 26, 2007. Investigators have determined Bollea was driving in excess of 60 miles per
hour close to or at the time of the crash. The posted speed limit in that area is 40 miles per hour.
The road was also wet due to a recent rain shower.
And what does the Hogan family have to say about this? They’ve responded already - and here is what they say:
“Nick and the entire Hogan Bollea family are saddened that criminal charges have been filed in regards to the tragic single car accident on August 26, 2007.
Nick will meet and answer these charges in the appropriate arena a court of law. The family’s primary focus and concern still remains for the continued recovery of Nick’s longtime friend John Graziano. The Bolleas will also continue to stand by the Graziano family and help them in any way they can.
The tragedy to both families is compounded by the fact that unfortunately John was not wearing his seatbelt. Thankfully, Nick was wearing his.
Because of what happened to John, the entire Bollea family will make it a priority to increase public awareness about the importance of always wearing your seatbelt. There has been much speculation as to the speed and wet road conditions surrounding this accident. Although all the evidence has not been evaluated, preliminary reports from the experts indicate that this was not, in fact, a high-speed accident. Because Nick is still a juvenile and has no prior criminal record, we are disappointed that he is being charged as an adult offender. However, we are confident that the evidence will demonstrate that this was an accident.
We ask all who follow these events to keep an open mind as to the facts until they have been ultimately determined. Finally, we thank all who have prayed for John’s recovery and ask for your continued support and prayers.”

So - um - now they’re blaming John on the accident because he wasn’t wearing his seat belt? And just WHO was driving the vehicle? WHO had alcohol in their blood? Blaming the accident on a man who will likely never regain his life? Now THAT’S sad.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is starring with Mandy Moore in the new movie, Southland Tales. The Rock plays Moore’s husband in this star-studded tale. Apparently, however, The Rock also has a bit of a crush on the young Ms. Moore.
“Mandy is drop dead gorgeous! She is beautiful and sweet and tall! My kind of woman! I can’t say enough great things about her.?
Dwayne and his wife, Dany, divorced recently after a number of years of wedded bliss. It looks as though Dwayne might be thinking about hooking up with a much younger woman! Dwayne was born in 1972 - Mandy was born in 1984.
They’re definitely not Demi and Ashton - they’re WAY better looking.
The Rock has been doing loads of business for Disney. Why? The Rock and Disney go hand in hand, as both of them have a love for kids, no matter what shape, or size they are. And kids love both Disney, and the Rock!.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be appearing on two episodes of one of Disney’s hottest teenie-bopper shows, Hannah Montana and Cory in The House - both to air on September 21.
At 8pm The Rock will be on “Cory in The House”, in which he will play a presidential advisor for physical fitness.
At 9pm The Rock will be on “Hannah Montana”. Hannah will be trying to raise money for a phone, so she shoots a photo of herself and tries to sell it. When this goes wrong, she tries to trade in a photo of Dwayne to the tabloids.
The Rock’s new movie ..The Game plan is out in movie theaters. The plot to the stury is an NFL quarterback living the bachelor lifestyle discovers that he has a 7-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. The seven year old daughter played by Madison Pettis.
In an interview on Friday with Fox sports, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was told about the ten wrestlers that were suspended. He was upset about it, and had some things to say about steroids, the suspensions, and Chris Benoit.
Dwayne has said that he never used Steroids while he was with the WWE. He said that he perferred to work on being the most entertaining, not the biggest, and that more wrestlers should focus on their performance, no performance enhancers. He did admit to using them for a brief time in college, but says that it wasn’t a fulfilling experience.
“I always joke about it because nothing happened. I had no idea what I was doing. I was probably taking Advil or something like it because it seemed like there were no changes.”
Johnson was appraised about the 10 suspensions and had this to say:
“Clearly, there has to be an aggressive educational program put in place,” Johnson said. “These guys have to be armed with the knowledge and understanding of how bad these drugs are and the dangers of mixing these drugs with the lifestyles they lead.”
When it comes to Chris Benoit’s strange and violent actions, Dwayne was confused.
“I was blown away,” Johnson said. “I had a chance to work with Chris on many occasions. He was a great guy and I knew his wife very well. The guy I knew wasn’t the guy who committed these heinous crimes. I’ve stopped trying to figure it out because Chris had wiring that allowed him to do that where anybody who was sane couldn’t fathom doing that.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is in Florida teaming with Fisher Price, a kids based toy company, in order to help unveil a new type of toy called “Planet Heroes?.
Planet Heroes are a toddlers action figure that is supposed to help them launch their brains into the solar system. The take off will begin at the Miami Museum of Science this Friday with help from “The Rock’s Toy Chest?, a kids charity.
Fisher Price will donate the construction to “The Rock’s Toy Chest? and will also donate toys to the Miami Children’s Hospital.

Robert Alexander Swenson Jr., known to the world as “Jeep” Swenson. Swenson’s dad, a military man, was nicknamed “Tank”, hence his logic that every “tank” needed a “jeep”.
According to Swenson, he had the largest biceps in the world at that time.
Swenson started his wrestling in WCCW in the mid-80’s with the legendary manager Gary Hart.
In 1989 he played Lugwrench Perkins in Hulk Hogans movie “No Holds Barred”.
Swenson came back into prefessional wrestling at WCW in 1996 as a member of the Alliance To End Hulkamania. The Alliance was comprised of both the Dungeon of Doom and the Four Horsemen.
Swenson, standing 6′4″ tall and weighing about 400 pounds, played the villainous character of Bane in the 1997 film Batman & Robin.
Less than two months after the films debut August 18, 1997 Swenson died of heart failure at the UCLA Medical Center.
Hulk Hogan and James Caan gave eulogies at Swenson’s funeral.
