A Little Dissapointed
Hello everyone - I know it’s been a little while since I checked in, but as many of you know, I’ve been pretty busy lately. I know the title reads “A Little Dissapointed”, which many might naturally think would be associated with a recent match, perhaps the PPV with Kurt Angle. Actually, I was very happy with the match; I tried some different things, got out of my comfort zone, and felt like we had a good match. Sure, there were things I could have done better, but conditions (both personally and physically) were not ideal, and nonetheless it was a match I was happy with..

I was slightly dissapointed with the “keys on a pole match”, but only because the match was edited for time concerns, and I think that a few minutes of really good stuff was cut out. I hate to fault my own company, but given that I don’t do television matches that often, I wish they could have cut one of the other segments, and given me and Kurt a little more time.

Of course, I’m looking forward to upcoming events, from my appearance at the El Caribe Hotel in Brooklyn on Saturday from 10-12, to my big showdown with Trina Michaels later that night in San Antonio, to my match with Big Sexy at the next TNA PPV, to the big night of extreme stand-up at the Improv on August 22nd.

What I’m really dissapointed with, however, is tha lack of participation in the Wrestler’s Rescue auction to benefit Dr Death Steve Williams. I know alot of people on myspace might be too young to remember Doc in his prime, but the guy is a legend and could really use our help. There are so many great items available that don’t seem to have a single bid on them. I know the economy is in rough shape, but there are some great items to be had at the auction site, and it all goes to such a great cause. Hopefully, it’s just a case of wrestling fans not knowing whee to go to find the items. PREVIEW FOR TONIGHT’S HUGE 200th EPISODE OF “iMPACT!” - THE EVENT SO BIG IT CAN NOT BE CONTAINED IN 2 HOURS

Tonight, TNA Wrestling returns to SpikeTV at 9/8c for two hours of Total Nonstop Action with the huge 200th episode of “iMPACT!”. To celebrate the occasion, TNA Wrestling is presenting the biggest event in “iMPACT!” history, featuring all of your favorite superstars!

-WWE Diva Maryse has recently underwent knee surgery. Here is what she posted on her twitter: This being said she must of had screws embeded in her knee. Hope she makes an full recovery.

-Former WWE Superstar Elijah Burke has indeed signed with TNA Wrestling. There has been a lot of speculation in the last week after the TNA logo was put on his website. Through Twitter, Elijah Burke mentioned that his webmaster”didn’t jump the gun”,most likely concerning the placement of the logo. Speaking of Twitter, Jeremy Borash posted that Elijah Burke was not going to be in TNA, which has turned out to be a cryptic message as Burke will debut under a new ring name.

-Variety is reporting that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be starring in his next movie “Faster” directed by Phil Joanou.

The synopsis is according to IMBD: An ex-con is out to avenge his brother’s death after they were double-crossed during a heist years ago.

Joanou also directed another filmed which also starred The Rock in his 2006 movie “Gridiron Gang.”

Former WWE Divas champion Maryse is in Birmingham, Alabama and will be examined by Dr. James Andrews tomorrow. PWInisder reports it’s believed that Maryse may need knee surgery to repair ongoing issues with her knee cap.

In December 2008, Maryse suffered a dislocated kneecap on a house show in North Carolina after being dropkicked by one of the Bella Twins. She was able to avoid surgery at that time due to the level of initial treatment she received and was able to return to the ring several weeks later, but has had ongoing issues with the knee since then.

It was obvious she was off during her bout with Mickie James last night.

Jeremy Borash updates on TNA’s AJ Styles and his staph infection conditon.

Just got off the phone with AJ. He’s feeling much better today after a staph infection scare. He shouldn’t be missing any ring time.

Kurt Angle at Comic-Con:

A guy dropped to one knee and proposed in the ring this past Thursday night on iMPACT in Shreveport.

TNA KnockOut Traci Brooks confirms that is is going to be in Playboy reports The Sun.

“Yes, it’s true! I will be the first TNA Knockout ever to grace the cover and pages of Playboy.

“I can’t wait for all my fans to see it. I will be doing a big media tour in October to promote it plus several autograph signings.”

Traci then goes on to say:

“It would be a really good thing for TNA.

“I say go for it!”

-WWE.com has posted recent photos of today’s WWE Diva Eve, her recent photo shoot is entitled, “Eve: Enchanting Eve”

The Miami Herald has an featured article on TNA’s Mick Foley. Foley talks about Improv, an stand up comedy in Hollywood on Aug. 22. Here are few snippets:

Feeling at home with TNA Wrestling:

“I don’t feel like every match coming up is a chance to destroy my legacy,” he said. “I look at it as a way to possibly try out some new things. I used to really dread the possibility of having that bad singles match that people would look at and say, `I really wish he would have stayed retired for good.’

“This is a really good time in my life. I feel like I’m contributing. The schedule is not so grueling that I can’t have a good family life. I feel like the young guys like having me around. When something happens, some kind of circumstance or injury, I’m a credible guy to step in and go to bat.”

Foley then talks about his ninth book release around fall of 2010:

“I have a little chapter titled The Perfect Way To Go, and it’s about my reaction to seeing my 6-year-old son booing me. For quite a while that was his ongoing little rib to his dad, booing me.

“He’s 8 now, and it was just in the last few days here in TNA I looked out and saw him really, really enjoying the matches and getting excited and cheering me on. As nice as it was to be booed by my son, it’s even better having him cheering me on.”

Bobby Lashley joining TNA roster:

“I think it’s huge for TNA to sign Bobby Lashley,” Foley said. “Obviously, Vince McMahon saw his potential, and he really tapped Bobby as his next big superstar. That was well on the way to happening, when they had a falling out, and I think we’ll be able to benefit in a way WWE was not.

“Bobby’s a great a talent, a great guy, and he’s capable of having big matches with the best talent we have.’

Dinner with TNA president Dixie Carter:

“[TNA President] Dixie Carter has been great,” Foley said. “My wife and I had dinner with her, and I mentioned to her during my 12-year association with WWE that my wife and I never dined together with Mr. McMahon. There is a comfort level that was just never there with WWE.

“I’m very happy to be with TNA. I don’t look back at my time with WWE with any bitterness — except I thought they could have done a better job pushing my book in 2006. It was, for the most part, a really, really good place to work, but I have no doubts leaving WWE and heading to TNA was the best move I could have made at that time.” Read the complete interview go here.

-The Miami Herald has a lengthy story on Madison Rayne. She talked about leaving college with a 4.0 grade average after her first year to pursue wrestling: “My mom doubted it and was disappointed, but I think the fact I set my goals, and I knew what I wanted, and I went after it, and I didn’t stop no matter what anybody said until I reached a goal, made my parents proud that they instilled that in me. They always wanted me to do well, and they wanted to make sure I was safe.”

-Gail Kim wrote a MySpace blog responding to messages she had received over concerns from fans about her character. She wrote: “… As for this recent draft, I was kind of surprised but happy. I loved the Smackdown side and will miss everyone there but I know [Raw] is a great opportunity and a chance to go for the one title I haven’t held yet, the Divas title. I also love the live show aspect and am really looking forward to facing Beth Phoenix or possibly Mickie James. I have a lot of respect for them and haven’t faced them since pretty much my independent wrestling days. It will be interesting to see how far we have come since those days… I am getting a lot of emails and comments regarding how I am being used in the WWE and I appreciate the support but I wish everyone would just be patient like I am and stay positive. I am having fun doing what I love. Good things come to those who wait.”

PWInisder report the word at last week’s TNA Impact tapings was that Traci Brooks had posed for Playboy. She did the shoot during her time away from TNA storylines. The shoot is a big part of the reason she’s being brought back to television in a prominent role.

There were some who believed Christy Hemme and So Cal Val may have also done some sort of shoot for Playboy as well, but I cannot confirm that at this time. Hemme of course did the magazine during her WWE run and Val has publicly acknowledged being offered to do the magazine in the past.
