PWInsider reports the scheduled TNA debut in Linz, Austria has been canceled. The cancellation was made due to travel issues that arose with the remainder of the tour.

WWE talents are being told at television last week there are no complimentary tickets to Summerslam, which will sell out at any time.

A number of people within WWE were talking about Chris Masters’ name ended up among the top Google searches for Monday and Tuesday after his Raw return.

The dark match main event of Tuesday’s Smackdown/ECW taping in Long Island, NY will be Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk for the World title in a steel cage.

This weekend’s WWE house show at the Westchester County Center on Sunday is completely sold out.

-As we’ve mentioned a few times here on the site, WWE is planning to use this year’s Summerslam event in Los Angeles as a way to position the event somewhat closer to Wrestlemania in importance in hopes of building it to a position where eventually, their August PPV can be one that cities bid on hosting. Part of that strategy has been to hold AXXESS events that weekend.

Another part of that strategy will be to try and tap into the Hollywood community. WWE will be hosting a number of private parties and events that week in conjunction with their Hollywood agency, WME. The plan is to network with current WWE business partners, such as MyNetworkTV and NBC/Universal while also trying to help woo potential future partners and sponsors. WME has enlisted the entire agency to work on the project, so it’s being seen as important internally.

While the advertisement is likely dated because it features Edge, who is now injured, WWE is absolutely advertising Shawn Michaels for SummerSlam.

In-Demand has released this years poster for WWE Summer Slam 2009 pay-per-view, which John Cena is featured.

Here is the synopsis for the event:

“The Biggest Event of the Summer” will take place on August 23, 2009 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

A poster for this years SummerSlam 2009 pay-per-view has surfaced online, which features non- other than Triple H and Randy Orton.

The Post and Courier reports” A torn hamstring may prevent one of WWE’s top stars from competing at next year’s Wrestlemania.

Batista is expected to be sidelined the next several months after undergoing surgery for a lingering hamstring injury.

Batista was headed for a projected main-event spot against either John Cena or Randy Orton at the company’s annual extravaganza next April…{Injury may keep Batista on shelf for Mania}

-WWE’s Summerslam 2009 PPV event will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on August 23rd 2009. The Staples Center previously hosted WrestleMania 21 back in 2005.

WWE star John Cena was endorsing American Body Building (ABB) products not too long ago but it looks like he will now be putting his name behind the Ultimate Nutrition brand of supplements. I didn’t see any press releases for this signing go out but was on their company website (www.UltimateNutrition.com) and saw that he will be making store appearances on their behalf so I guess they chose to not publicize the signing - good move guys! Ultimate has been around for over 20 years now and are not the most sophisticated marketers (in my opinion of course) but make good value products that have a strong following, especially overseas.
