JR has updated his blog and here are the highlights:

-JR on Todd Grisham:It will be good to see Todd Grisham back at his post on ECW this week. Todd had a horribly challenging week last week and our thoughts and prayers have been with Todd and his family through the ordeal.

-JR and Tazz to host MynetworkTV premiere: From what I hear the WWE is pulling out all the stops for the premier of Friday Night Smackdown on MyNetworkTV that will be taped this Tuesday in Green Bay. From what I hear, Tazz and yours truly will be handling the entire broadcast which always seemed to be to be a no brainer to me considering that we are the regular hosts on Friday Night Smackdown last time I looked. The WWE fans in the Green Bay area are apparently in a for a big night this Tuesday.

-The WWE event in Paris, France Saturday night scored big at the box office selling out the venue and grossing over $1.1M in ticket sales.

-Didn’t know if you have noticed, that TNA is no longer in WWE. Ever since WWE has put up Industry News, they have been advertsing TNA. This all ended when Mick Foley headed over to the rivalry company, TNA. Ever since his departure no advertisment for TNA has made WWE Industry’s News.

Vince must be some pissed of this since Foley has been exhiled from the WWE and even website, especially the Alumni Section. Also being pulled from the “Legends of Wrestlemania” video game with Randy “Macho man” Savage.

WWE is going to start off the new “Smackdown! Era” on MyNetworkTV on Oct3. with a special event, Smackdown 1-2 Punch. The first match announced is an Triple Threat Match.

Here is the preview of the match:

When Friday Night SmackDown settles into its new home on MyNetwork TV on Oct. 3, all three World Champions will face off. WWE Champion Triple H, World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho and ECW Champion Matt Hardy will compete in a Triple Threat Match.

This is the first of (hopefully) many matches to come.

Don’t miss this unprecedented night in sports-entertainment history as, for the first time ever on broadcast television, it will be a night of Champion vs. Champion encounters, including Superstars and Divas from Raw, ECW and SmackDown.

-During last night’s Smackdown show, Gregory Helms made his first appearance since April of last year. Helms had under gone neck fushion surgery. Helms refered to himself as “Hurricane Helms” during his first promo, and no he wasn’t wearing his Hurricane mask..

From WWE.COM-Following two postponements due to the effects of Hurricane Ike down South, tickets for WrestleMania XXV will officially go on sale to the public on November 8, at 10 a.m. CT. Tickets will become available at both Houston’s Reliant Stadium box office, and at all Ticketmaster locations.

-Primohora has conducted an interview with former WWC Universal Champion & current WWC Vice President Carlos Colon Sr., father of Carlito and Primo Colon, both who reside on the Smackdown roster. In a bizarre turn of events, Festus & Jesse executed a first-class package job to Kenny Dykstra, before wheeling the furious Superstar away on a hand truck. Is it possible that these two wacky country boys have “Fed-Ex’d” the outspoken Dykstra out of WWE?

After Jeff Peterson, a independent professional wrestler, died after a long battle with cancer in 2002, less than a year later the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup, a 16-competitor tournament, was created to benefit someone afflicted with cancer.

This year will be no different. When the Cup is held Sept. 26-27, all proceeds will go Devin Deschaine, a 2-year-old with Stage 4 neuroblastoma, a rare form of pediatric cancer.
