PWInisder reports the word going around at the PPV last night is that Jeff Hardy has agreed to stay on with WWE through SummerSlam. I don’t have that 100% confirmed but that is the rumor that was making the rounds.

Also, apparently Vince McMahon was not very happy about the opener and how it went over as he was seen throwing down his headsets at the end of the bout. Wow, who would have thought that putting Big Show in the spot of mystery partner wouldn’t have gotten the fans fired up?

The Night of Champions which, in case you haven’t heard is the ONLY night of the year that EVERY title in WWE is at stake, is “this close” to being sold out so Sunday night’s atmosphere on PPV should be exciting. Of course, Philadelphia is the place where Santa Claus once was booed so any wrestler that doesn’t bring his or her “A Game” might hear it from the folks in attendance. More power to the fans of the “WWE Universe” I always say.(I get paid extra for saying WWE Universe.)

CM Punk: That’s a really hard call. Off the top of my head, guys like Harley Race, Ricky Steamboat and Eddie Guerrero were awesome champions. I liked different things about those guys. Harley was a man’s man, a tough son of a gun and was the guy to beat for so long. Eddie was great in everything he did; he could talk, he could wrestle and he could do the entertainment aspect of wrestling. As for Ricky Steamboat, he is probably the best role model the business has ever seen.
