Here are some more photos from John Cena’s wedding to Liz from July 11th. As we all saw, John was on Raw, and according to reports, Liz was on their honeymoon while John was on Raw. I’m not sure if John joined Liz after Raw on Monday, and we’ll see this Monday if he’s at the taping or not.
Enjoy the pics.
The first photos of John Cena’s wedding to Liz have emerged - John Cena got married yesterday in Boston, MA, to his long-time fiance, Liz. No firm details have emerged yet about the location, or about how large it was, or if any of the other WWE staff were there, but we do have a few photos of the newlyweds to tide us over.
Does this mean that Cena won’t be at Raw on Monday?
Exclain.ca has an review of WWE newest released to dvd “12 Rounds”. seems the only thing making the grade on selling this dvd is John Cena. You can read the review here.
-Daily Star.UK has an brief article which includes Cena proven his status quo in the WWE by crushing The Miz. You can read the article here.

According to TMZ, Rowdy Roddy Piper was arrested early this morning in Hollywood under suspicion of Driving Under the Influence, or DUI. He was stopped by police around 1 AM and failed the field sobriety test. He was arrested and is being held on $5,000 bail.
Tons of websites are popping up with the story today that Matt Striker took nude photos of himself in order to do something with them. But what? No one is quite sure yet what he planned on doing with the photos, we only know that they’re apparently of him.
You can find the supposed photos on Tabloid Prodigy, because I really don’t need to see them again. Once was too much!
The following is from
/19/my_first_week_as_a_regular_person_”>JBL’s WWE Universe website.
My First Week as a Regular Person
Ok, so I have my first week as a normal person. It was going really well until this morning when I thought I was a techie and could do some stuff on www.custom-muscle.com I was uploading and adding and then POOF! all of it was gone. I not only lost all my work I even deleted Mamajuana-my product.
Of course I did get Layfield’s Energy Plus at a huge discount on it, but it is not announced because I don’t know how to run specials page. So, I will just wait for my tech guys to wake up and tell them I screwed up site.
Other than that, life as a normal person is pretty good. The guys are in UK this week and I always loved going there-only problem is the exchange rate really hurts Americans over there.
I signed up for Twitter, not sure why and not sure what the appeal is, but I am signed up. I am under jclayfield. I don’t get Twitter, but maybe I will.
Gonna be in Franklin, Tn. this week for the Franklin street fair with Fox 17, I’ll be there on Saturday. And, going to be at the Hackney show on Sunday in Sevierville, Tn. Tuesday and Wednesday I am going to be in Dayton, Ohio riding with one of the DSD guys who carry our products.
Ok, before I screw up whole WWE site I better sign off and try to fix www.custom-muscle.com which does have best prices for nutrition on the web despite me messing the site up.
My wife is up for Time 100 most influential people in the world with the Pope and President-personally I think she is better than both. Maybe she can fix my website.
Jim Ross has updated his personal website, here are a few highlights:
On his new broadcast role: Lots is being made of my pending, new broadcast role in WWE. Personally, it is a non issue to me as I know that I will hopefully still be able to contribute to the broadcasts in a positive manner. Times change, philosophies change, and the constant quest to improve and present the product seemingly never ends. We’ll see how it works. I don’t plan on stinking the joint out I assure you and I also plan on pushing whoever works with me to raise their game. Time will tell. The new journey will officially unfold after the “Draft” but I start this next phase of my career Friday night on Smackdown. It will be a work in progress but I definitely put in the effort to make it the best it can be.
DH Smith training with with MMA’s Josh Barnett: I had a nice visit with MMA’s Josh Barnett at WM25 and he discussed training with DH (Harry) Smith. Smith looks physically great and has all the physical gifts one needs to be a big star in WWE. The son of the British Bulldog just needs to allow his personality to evolve and to become a little more out going. I have every belief that the young man will make it big some day. I found Josh to be a great guy, highly intelligent and looking forward to some day fighting “Fedor.” Josh is also a fan of my work which I found to be very flattering.
Shawn Michaels last WrestleMania For the record, there is no official word as to when HBK is going to retire and I also realize on a recent radio interview that Shawn indicated that WM26 “might” be his last one. I hope that we don’t wear this subject out between now and an official announcement by Shawn. HBK is still amazing, who’s better, and I hope he sticks around for a few more years but if he does decided to retire he’s darned sure earned it. Let’s not jump the gun because after the draining experience of a Wrestlemania many veterans tend to re-evaluate their careers. Trust me on that one.
Bobby Heenan Update: I got to visit with Bobby Heenan at WM25 backstage at the HOF. Bobby has been through hell and the visual affects of his jaw reconstruction surgery are evident. He has trouble talking but still has his magnificent sense of humor. He beamed when he showed me photos of his grandson who is a handsome little man indeed. I love Bobby Heenan and trust me when I say that no one EVER in this business was ever better at wrestling/managing/announcing than was “The Brain.” Bobby befriended me when I came to WWE in 1993 and I worked WM9 with Bobby and Randy Savage. Bobby was there for me when many in WWE wanted nothing to do with “the WCW guy.”
Stone Cold ever wrestle again?:Another question we seem to be getting a great deal is when or if Stone Cold is returning to the ring. As best that I know the answer is never. Why would any human being risk spending significant time in a wheel chair and horrifically affecting one’s quality of life to wrestle “one more match?” For any one to compare Steve’s neck injury and subsequent invasive surgery to every other wrestler’s neck surgery is naive and, quite honestly, ignorant. Steve will never step back in the ring to “half ass” it and go through the motions at half or three quarter speed just for the pay day or to make some obsessed, die hards happy. He has only one gear and if that gear is going to put his health at risk then why would he do it? Let’s hope that every Stone Cold fan around the world will continue to show their love and respect for Steve when they have the chance to support his film work. Trust me, if Steve could step back in the ring and give it 100% without fear of rising permanent injury then he would.
Stu or Owen Inducted into WWE Hall Of Fame: Got another question, again, whether I think that either Stu or Owen Hart will ever be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. My answer is and has been, yes. I think that perhaps one of them could go in next year for the sake of starting a 2010 HOF rumor. Read the complete blog here.
JBL has posted on his WWE Universe blog about his farewell from WWE? and his future plans:
It doesn’t get any bigger than Wrestlemania 25. WM 25 was in my home state of Texas with my childhood idols being inducted into the hall of fame.
I had wanted to make it to WM 25 for years, and when injuries cut my career short the one regret I had was that I wouldn’t make the 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania-well, I made it. I never dreamed after I retired the first time that my back would get better and I would be allowed to return to wrestling.
Standing there last night in front of over 70,000 people in my home state ended a journey that was unreal to me. For a kid from Sweetwater, Texas to be able to travel all over the world and realize his dream is pretty cool.
I don’t know what the future holds, never say never in life. But I have wrestled my last match. Months ago, I picked out this match. If Eddie Guerrero couldn’t be here for it then my dear friend Rey was the obvious choice, and I’m proud he was.
I want to thank the WWE for a great career, for taking a chance on me and allowing me the keys to the car for a while. I will always represent the WWE wherever I go, I am proud of my 13 ½ years with the WWE. And, I am proud of the WWE for cleaning up a great sport to make it more healthy to everyone that is a part.
However, I have no current plans on doing anything in the future on a professional level with WWE. I don’t plan on doing commentary, in fact; it hasn’t even been brought up to me. I don’t plan on being an on air character. I plan on starting the next chapter in my life, and closing the door on this one.
I have worked with some of the greatest people in the world; I have life long friends that are the best in the world. Everytime WWE is brought up or JBL,
I will smile. I having nothing but great, great memories.
I have several projects that I am working on that will keep me more than busy.
I have worked with Charlie Haas to reform www.custom-muscle.com and together we plan on being the best nutrition web site in the world. Check us out, you can buy Layfield Products there, but you can also buy all the cutting edge supplements in the nutrition world there-and the plain old everyday supplements as well.
We plan on offering a full service web site, from information to updates on the world of fitness and health and of course the best prices for supplements of all kinds.
I plan on hunkering down and building my companies. I plan on building a world class distribution service in Nashville and a top notch global beverage company. I have a deal in the banking world that I hope to get done that will allow the disabled the first fully access bank online.
I have had a life that I could have only dreamed of so far, but it is my time to say thank you and go away. I have nothing but great and fond memories and I want to leave before any of that changes, I swore I would never stay too long-I have too much respect for this business to do that.
You may see me in the WWE again, I don’t know-but that is not the plan. Right now, I have gotten up early today and am ready to go to work on the next part of my life that will hopefully exceed the first part.
I have been on the road for my entire adult life. I want to put the suitcases up and do my best to be successful outside of wrestling, today starts that journey.
Thanks to all you guys out there for cheering me, booing me and making signs about me. It is a little overwhelming to think of the great fans the WWE has today. I have been a bad guy for so long, and when I started you were a bad guy 24/7, I carried that mindset probably too long-well no more, today I am just a normal guy going to work.
It seems like yesterday I was sitting with my Grandfather watching wrestling, and telling him that one day I was going to be one of those guys. My grandfather never got to see me wrestle, but I am sure he is happy today. I hope Bobby Duncum Jr. and Eddie Guerrero were watching with him.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for allowing me to be a part of the great theater we call “sports entertainment”, personally I just always considered myself a wrestler.

Jim Ross has posted on his personal website. Here are a few highlights:
-Wrestlemania 25 has now sold over $6.4M in ticket sales. Select seats are still available as I was told that some more tickets were released a few hours ago after some TV production matters were finalized.
-The WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is “this close” to being a sell out at the Toyota Center on Saturday night April 4. Less than 500 tickets remain for one of the highlights of the entire WWE year.
-This Monday in Dallas at the American Airlines Center, it will be all hands on deck for the three WWE brands. Raw looks to be shaping up to be a red hot, live show that will air between 8 p.m. and 10ish p.m. Dallas (central time). Chris Jericho vs. Jerry “The King” Lawler is a match that particularly interests me personally. The King will make a great accounting for himself and will especially fare well if this match breaks into a brawl in my view. This will be the last Monday Night Raw prior to Wrestlemania which one would assume would raise everyone’s level of execution just 6 days before the biggest day of the year. This Monday’s event at ACC in Dallas is a near sell out as i write this and will likely be completely “clean” by show time Monday.
-Since Andrew “Test” Martin’s untimely passing of what is expected to be from a drug overdose although that has not been confirmed as I write this blog pending the results of an autopsy, so much speculation regarding drug use in wrestling and sports has been written. We all likely have friends that we have grown up with and most probably some of them do drugs and, hopefully, most of them don’t. I have friends that were big party guys in college who did their fair share of drugs. Some of those guys, even now that they are in their 50’s, still seemingly live to get high. Others who ran in our same group decided to live their lives in another way and simply say no to illegal drug use and the abuse of prescription medication. Read the complete blog here.
Tommy Dreamer has posted on his WWE Universe blog. He talks aboutreasons that WrestleMania is important to him. In reason number 4 Dreamer says he is disappointed that he does not have an match in this years WrestleMania, but yet
Sorry it has been a while it is hard to come up with stuff to say every week. I have been on a ten day scale of posting my blogs and I will stick to it. I just have so many hours in the day and I usually do this when I am at home and my twinnovators(twin daughters) keep much of that time to themselves. So I will talk about something that is very special to me and everyone reading this Wrestlemania.
Wrestlemania is important to me for many reasons.
1.The History.
Growing up in the early eighties being a wrestling fan I found myself to a small group of people, maybe even considered an outsider. I took alot of teasing from other kids for loving wrestling so much, but once the first Wrestlemania came to MSG everyone became a fan.Everyone rightfully so, jumped on the bandwagon. Those haters all became fans of my favorite sport. Years later everyone had their tshirts on but I knew in my heart that the wrestlers knew I was a die hard fan. Going to as many shows as I possibly could. I was at the first Wrestlemania and I still remember the excitement of going up the escalator and feeling the atmosphere, when I walked into the main hall, I knew I was part of something special and I was I was a part of history.
2.The return of Fan Axcess
This is the greatest way as a fan to meet some of their favorites. This is also a way as a WWE Superstar to meet their fans. I love doing autographs and just mingling with the people who all share a common joy as I still do, wrestling. This years fan Axcess has so much fan interaction, from doing Superstars entrances, autograph sessions, calling matches you name it they got it. If I was you I would buy the new WWE Encyclopdeia and have that ready for all to sign. The book has every person to ever wrestle in WWE, it is a great book for any fan to have. They also left out Beulah, Francine and most importantley the MIZ!!! Insert all your jokes here maybe you are not as great as you think you are Miz.
3.The Hall of Fame
This year is most important to me as a person because the three most influencial people in my career will all be in one place at one time, Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair and Terry Funk. Not to mention how much money I spent wanting to see Jimmy Snuka, Roddy Piper and Ricky Steamboat back in the day. To me I am gonna have a camera and will be taking my picture with all of these men because without them paving the way for me, I wouldn’t have had the career I am having. A personal note I am so happy that the Fink, Howard Finkel is being inducted as well. I was a little unhappy about his HOF video because I felt it was a little to comedy, for such a prestigious event( even though Howard telling Trish he has a weiner is one of my favorite Raw moments). Howard has been at every Wrestlemania and was the ring announcer that set the largest attenedance record of all time Wrestlemania three. (Take that Michael Buffer). Many wrestlers have gone on record saying that they knew they made it in the business when the heard Howard announce their names. Congrats Fink it is an awesome acheivement.
4. I am a fan
Yes I am beyond disappointed I am not having a match. Actually I read my New Years Resolutions blog and I have failed on 2 out of 3 of them. Being in the Royal Rumble and having a match at Wrestlemania. The first year don’t say lose weight, now look I have dropped 28 pounds since, ohh the irony, wow did I get sidetracked. Last year I watched Ric Flair’s last match vs HBK in the crowd. I will do the same for the Undertaker vs HBK match, this year, that to me is the most intriguing matchup. Basically what I am saying is that even after 25 years I am still a fan and gonna be a part of history again.
Thanks for reading

Former pro wrestler Steve Doll died yesterday following a long bout of declining health. Good friend of Dolls, Reno Riggins spoke to Slam Wrestling on his passing.
“At one point, he was on blood pressure medication. The doctors were pumping blood pressure medication in him to keep his blood pressure up, but it kept falling,” Riggins told SLAM! Wrestling. “He was on a ventilator for his breathing. I’ve read on a couple of websites that said his family had to make a decision to take him off life support. That’s incorrect — he passed away before that had to come to pass.”
Riggins told Slam that Doll was in fact 48 years old in the time of his death. Read the full article here.
