Backlash 2008 -My Thoughts
Saturday, April 26th, 2008
World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker vs. Edge
Where can one start. This feud has been going on since the dawn of time, yeah really long. Hopefully this pay per view, The Undertaker will take Edge out for good and help put another contender up for the title. Edge will lose and become a ‘good guy’ again. My predict is that The Undertaker will retian his title.
This one should eb a no brainer. rumor has it The Great Khali knees are not doing him any justice. The Punjab’n Giant might in need of surgery and with the news going aroung that Khali is returning to his homeland and yet another time he is returning to grace his country. Even when the Great Khali stomped the hell out of the Big Show awhile back..So maybe, expect The Big Show maybe injuring Khali and Khali getting the DQ for the win. Just a thought..

United States Champion MVP vs. Matt Hardy
This match has yet too come, Finally this is going to happen. With Matt getting injured by MVP. Hardy is way over due for the title. I thinbk Vince is going to play with this a little bit to stretch Matt Wins a little bit. This might turn out to be a draw.

WWE Championship Fatal Four Way Elimination Match
John Cena, JBL, Randy Orton and Triple H
Holy crap..can this get any more complicated that it already is. When the hell did JBL get into the mix here. Why is JBL here. Could he get the upset and win over HHH, Orton and Cena just to prove apoint..

ECW Champion Kane vs. Chavo Guerrero
Even though Chavo is an awesome wrestler and I respect him very much so, I think he does not have what it takes to be a champion for the people. This man can wrestler but his character is not right for champ. I think Kane will retain his title for a long time..

Batista vs. Shawn Michaels with guest referee Chris Jericho
Here is a train wreck waiting to happen. This story will be going on for at least 2 or even maybe 3 months to come. HBK retired Batista’s mentor, Ric Flair. Great storyline to get the crowd into it at least. But Y2J is the special Ref here. What would he have in store, as he truns heel. Maybe Ric Flair will interject here and take out Jericho and hopefully these two men would recover, but still fight this storyline out for awhile.

12-Diva Tag Team Match
Witht he team of Mickie, Maria, Ashley, Michelle, Cherry & Kelly Kelly to face against The Glamazon, Melina, Jillian, Layla, Victoria & Natalya be one to reckon with. Expect an all out Babe Brawl…This is goingto have lots of T & A Action. Just for fun who care who wins, but if I had to pick one I will say, The Glamazons team…
Thanks for the read…Scooter

Michaels says that he’s not proud of some of the things he’s done, and tells Batista that if he wants a piece of him, he should go for it. Batista says, “I already have”. Regal then received a phone call from Vickie Guerrero saying that Michaels VS Batista is set for Backlash.
Orton comes in complaining to Regal, who then tells him that next week in London, England, it will be Regal VS Randy Orton.
Match #7: Cena VS JBL and HHH, Handicap Match
HHH wants the tag but JBL wants Cena and won’t tag out. He goes for the tag eventually, but HHH backs off. JBL attacks HHH and they go uot of the ring. JBL goes for the clothesline on HHH, who moves out of the way allowing Orton to get it. The ref splits the two of them apart and motions HHH back to the corner. Orton comes in and RKO’d by JBL. WWE Raw results 4/30/07
Tuesday, May 1st, 2007Moneday night RAW - LIVE from the USA once again!
Vince spends some time at the beginning of the show prancing around, proud of his ECW title. He shows off to Cena who replies, “White dude in a DewRag”. Vince tells HBK that if he wins the match tonight, he will have a title shot next week, live on Raw and then leaves with a “peace out, my brotha’s” remark.
Match #1: Edge Vs Randy Orton
The match starts with Edge slapping Orton, and it went downhill from there for these former tag-team champions. Orton gets thrown down and bounces off the annoucners table, but Edge throws him back in. Edge climbed on the top rope and was ready to jump, but Orton drop kicked him as he was in the air in an awesome hit. Both pulled out every bit of arsenal they had, but in the end it was a spear from Edge for the count.
WINNER: Edge
A nice little interview with Santino Moriella, the “Mystery Man from Milan”, during which he states that he is from Italy but trained in the US three years before he was “discovered” at Raw. Next week he has his first title match, live, on Raw.
Lots of talking - RVD and the “Original ECW” crew are disgusted that Vince has the title, while Shane tells his father he loves him and helps him polish the title. Edge is pissed that he doesn’t have a title shot against Cena and vows to take matters into his own hands.
Match #2: Jeff Hardy Vs Johnny Nitro
Jeff Hardy proves once again that he’s great as a single competitor AND a tag team partner and ends the match rather quickly with a Swanton bomb on Nitro from the top rope.
WINNER: Jeff Hardy
Cade tries to enter the ring and shake hands with Jeff, but he rebuffs him and walks off.
Match #3: Umaga Vs RVD
In an attempt to bring honor back to ECW, RVD is taking on the giant that helped Vince get the title. The two go around for awhile before RVD jumps on Umaga’s back and applys an excellent sleeper hold. Just when it looks like Umaga is going to go down, he gets up again. He hits RVD against the corner post, but RVD just wraps his legs around Umaga and holds on. It wasn’t until Umaga threw him over the top rope that he finally let go. Some more grappling and good moves, and it looks like RVD’s got it sealed as he goes to the top for a five-star frog splash. Just as he lands, though, Umaga grabs his throat and gives RVD the Samoan Spike to the throat.
WINNER: Umaga
Carlito goes to Flair and apologizes to him for swearing at him in a “foreign language” last week. Flair tells Carlito that he has one more shot to prove himself as they go up against the World’s Greatest Tag Team
HBK’s theme music plays for a minute or two, but he doesn’t come out. We see on the screen an unconscious HBK surrounded by a ref and others who are trying to revive him. Coachman accuses Cena, who then puts Coachman up against a wall and eventually walks off in disgust. Vince tells the EMT to get HBK ready to wrestle “no matter what”.
Match #4: Ric Flair & Carlito w/ Torri Wilson Vs Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin
Flair and Carlito actually do some pretty good tag-team damage for awhile. Carlito even jumps in the ring and knocks Haas away from Flair, who was fighting Benjamin. Just as Flair gets Benjamin down for a minute, Carlito attacks him! Flair rakes his eyes and Carlito leaves the ring…only to find Flair chasing after him! “Don’t turn your back on the dirtiest player in the game,” Lawler states. Eventually Carlito gets away.
Coachman finds Edge unconscious in the locker room and goes on a hunt for the cause of the superstar’s injuries.
Mr. Kennedy comes out and says that he is going to cash his “money in the bank” clause at Wrestlemania 24. (Like we care)
Randy Orton is then found unconscious in the shower! What’s going on with these wrestlers?!
Vince tells Coachman that he’s figured out who did it, and to have Cena go to the ring.
Match #5: Melina & Victoria Vs Candice Michelle & Mickie James
For this TNA match, I have to say that I’m a bit disappointed in the WWE. Both Mickie James and Victoria are halfway decent wrestlers, and they keep them separated and not wrestling each other much, which is a damn shame.
WINNER: Candice Michelle & Mickie James
Thank god I didn’t need a cigarette - I would’ve missed the whole match!
Cena heads to the ring and says, “You want some?! COME GET SOME!” With a cocky attitude.
A few minutes later his cockiness turns to true fear as The Great Khali comes out from the back. Cena tries to get him in the FU, but it doesn’t work. Khali knocks Cena down with a two-handed choke slam and grabs the belt from him, showing the crowd that he will be the champion.
And that’s Raw!
