Chris Benoit’s doctor, Dr. Phil Astin, pled guilty on Jan. 29 to a 175-count federal indictment. He was sentenced today and had something to say before his sentencing:

“I take full responsibility,” Astin told the judge Tuesday. “I am sorry I hurt so many lives. I was thinking that I was looking after my patients.”

The prosecution asked for 11-13 years for the crime. Today the judge handed down a 10 year sentence for Dr. Astin.

Those of you who have watched Top Chef will recognize Fabio Viviani. Fabio is co-owner of Cafe Firenze in Moorpark, CA, and won the title of Fan Favorite during the show.

Fabio is active on Facebook and left a message early this morning that sad:

Fabio Viviani is working with the WWE World Wrestling Federation and has to come up with a new SANDWICH LINE inspired by their 9 most Famous WRESTLERS SUPERSTARS !!! I love it !!!

How interesting! Looks like Fabio is going to be creating some delicious sandwiches that are named after WWE Superstars - but which superstars? And where will the sandwiches be sold?! Hopefully we can find out the information soon.

Remember all that talk about Mickey Rourke taking on Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania?! Looks like that’s not going to happen. Rourke’s rep says that “Mickey was very honored to be asked as he has the greatest respect for WWE”, however - Mick is “focusing entirely on his acting career”, so he won’t be at Wrestlemania.

-A question that I’m frequently asked by people in Baltimore is whether there are any restaurants or bars that show the WWE pay-per-views. During the Monday Night Wars era, it wasn’t hard to find such places, but with UFC replacing WWE as the trendy form of “fighting” entertainment, pretty much the only place to watch a WWE pay-per-view is in someone’s living room.

Until now, that is. Fantasies Nightclub is advertising that it will show a WWE pay-per-view for the first time with its broadcast of The Great American Bash tonight. Admission is free. The naked truth about where you can watch The Great American Bash

Raw opens with Vickie Guerrero sitting in the middle of the ring in a wheelchair. CM Punk walks down to the ring, and Vickie says that Edge’s demise was due to CM Punk beating Edge, the same way Edge did to the Undertaker. CM Punk says that Vickie could marry any of the roster, even the Great Khali!

Vickie stands up and slaps him. Punk tells Vickie that she’s got a one way ticket back to Smackdown.

JBL runs out and says that he should be champ and challenges Punk to a match.

Cena comes out and tells JBL that we don’t play the “blame game” on Raw, and to go back where he’s from. JBL says that since there is no McMahon there tonight, it will be Cena VS JBL for the #1 Contendership for the next PPV against CM Punk.

Batista comes out and says that he wants a piece of Punk. Cena changes the match to a triple threat match for the contendership at the Great American Bash.

Kane comes down and says that he wants to get in as well, so CM Punk proposes a “Fatal Four Way”.

Match #1: Mysterio VS Santino Marella

Ray hits a 619 on Marella then to the top rope for a spash and the pin.

WINNER: Mysterio

CM Punk is asked by Michael Grissom as to who he would favor to go against at GAB. Lighting falls in front of hte camera and Snitsky confronts Punk. CM Punk makes a match against Snitsky to prove that his win is not a fluke.

Match #2: Layla and Jillian Hall VS Kelly Kelly and Mickie James

Jerry the king Lawler says Kelly Kelly is like a museum “touch with your eyes and not your hands!”

Kelly Kelly sits on Jilians shoulders and crouches down for a victory roll.

WINNER: Mickie James and Kelly Kelly

JBL’s limo arrives. The doors lock and JBL looks puzzled. Cena comes out of the back of the limo and says that the limo won’t pass inspection, but that he knows two guys who can fix cars quick - Chryme Type comes out from the limo. Cryme Tyme smashes the mirror with a bat and smash a hole in the windshield, destroying the limo (and writing “JBL is Poopy” in orange spray paint) on the limo.

Match #3: CM Punk VS Snitsky

Punk slingshots over the top rope onto Snitsky for the crossarm block. CM Punk with GTS on Snitsky.

WINNER: CM Punk

HBK comes out and says that he accepts the match against Jericho at GAB.

Match #4: Charlie Haas VS Kofi Kingston

WINNER: Kofi Kingston

Cena VS JBL VS Batista VS Kane

Batista spear on Kane.

Batista will face CM Punk at the Great American Bash

Kane flips out and attacks the stage crew. He grabs Michael Cole for a choke slam and Lawler attacks Kane from behind to try to save Cole. Kane winds upattacking Jerry and leaving him helpless in the ring as the evening ends.

Sorry for the lengthy delay, but I have a good excuse! We were getting so many hits, that all of the servers owned by 451 Press (ie. the company who owns this blog) crashed! They had to spend an indecent amount of money getting new servers so that they could keep up with all of the traffic.

TMZ has a video up of Hulk Hogan on Larry King Live recently (I believe it was last night but I’m not quite sure as the power went out at our house). In this video, Hulk says that he believes that it’s “God’s will” that John and Nick were in the car crash, and that “everything happens for a reason”.

The judge recently denied Nick Hogan’s plea to be removed to his mother’s house until his 18th birthday. All I have to say is -

Still Champ HHH starts off raw saying that the Age of Orton is broken, as if it never existed. Orton is gone and who is next? The man-slut himself, John Cena comes out and asks HHH one question – “Are you ready?�? HHH said, “if you want some, come get some�?. Hardy’s music plays and out comes Jeff Hardy, who says that he’s in line for the title as well. He believes that the fans want to see, for the first time ever, Jeff Hardy VS John Cena. McMahon comes on the Titontron and announces it will be Cena VS Hardy and the winner will take on HHH at the Night of Champions.

Match #1: Mr. Kennedy VS Umaga

Match was supposed to be against Paul Burchell, but he claimed that he had to help his sister, Katie Lea, get ready for her first match, and so he had lined up Umaga to go against Kennedy. Kennedy attacks Umaga’s injured stomach. Kennedy lying against the announcer’s table when Umaga jumps off the ring, Kennedy moves making Umaga hit the table with his injured abdomen. Umaga gets counted out.

WINNER: Mr. Kennedy

Burchill comes out and gives Kennedy a swinging neck breaker.

Vince McMahon graces the audience with his presence and explains about his Million Dollar Mania. He loads $1 Million dollars into a clear plastic box and explains that you have to register at wwe.com in order to win the million. He says that he is doing it in order to bring in new people, as WWE relates to the Americana in all of us.

*did a little snooping and here’s how the Million Dollar Mania works – you go online and register, leaving your phone number there as well. During the broadcast they will be showing secret codes and will be calling a list of randomly selected people who have registered. If they call you and you pick up, you have to be able to tell them the secret code that just aired. If you’re not there, or if you can not say the secret code, you do not win your prize. There will be one $250 Million dollar grand prize, two $200 Million dollar prizes, and a few other prizes getting rid of the million, including a $2 “sixth�? prize.*

Match #2: Santino Marella and Carlito VS Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes

Piper distracts Morella and Hardcore gets him in the Alabama Slam. Carlito kicks Hardcore with Santino, who rolls up Holly.

Match #3: JBL VS Y2J Intercontinental Title Match

Action taken outside of the ring as JBL grabs the chair and punches the ref. The ref calls for the bell. Y2J kicks JBL and he lands on the chair by the throat. Jericho grabs the chair but doesn’t use it. JBL is bleeding from the mouth has Jericho walks away with the title.

WINNER: Y2J by DQ

Match #4: Beth Phoenix and Katie lea VS Melina and Mickie James

James goes for a DDT but Katie throws Mickie. Beth hits Mickie from behind and goes in for the pin.

WINNER: Beth Phoenix and Katie Lea

Match #5: Lance Cade VS Trevor Murdoch

Cade with a sitting powerbomb.

WINNER: Lance Cade

Cena goes back to check on Mickie James and says that he wants to apologize for the gossip that is going around. He gives Mickie something and says that she forgot it last night – its her panties! She goes off to get checked out by the doctor while
Cena downs an energy drink.

Match #6: Jeff Hardy VS John Cena

Jeff Hardy jumps off the top rope for an across the body rollover. Cena picks up Hardy and puts him in the FU for the 1-2-3.

WINNER: John Cena

HHH comes out to congratulate Cena on his win. It will now be Cena VS HHH at Night of Champions on June 26th.
