Bret Hart’s book, “Hitman”…Nothing But the Truth
Bret Hart’s book “Hitman: My Real Life In The Cartoon World Of Wrestling” will be out October 16.
For as long as I can remember, my world was filled with liars and bullshitters, losers and pretenders, but I also saw the good side of pro wrestling. To me there is something bordering on beautiful about a brotherhood of big tough men who pretended to hurt one another for a living instead of actually doing it. Any idiot can hurt someone. - from Hitman
There is also an interesting story from the Vancouver Sun about Bret’s book and the rivals he faced with Vince McMahon. Bret not being a man to write stuff down, he bought a tape recorder and said what he needed to say.
Later in life Bret said it was a “surreal” situation that he was in.
Bret also talked about how his divorce from his first wife, and how woman saved him from it all boose, drugs and more.
