Benoit Strangled Wife - Asphyxiated son
It is now being reported that Chris Benoit strangled his wife either late Friday night or early Saturday morning. He then asphyxiated his son in his bed, and finally killed himself early Sunday morning.
Police officials have released that they discovered one text message sent from Chris Benoit at 4:30 a.m. early Sunday morning. They would not disclose who the text message was to or what it said.
Officals have also said that they found steroids and prescription drugs in the house, and that Chris apparently used the cords of one of the machines in the exercise room to strangle himself with.
Nancy Benoit apparently filed for divorce in 2003, saying that she believed that she and her son were in danger from Chris. She then rescinded the divorce decree.
Two large german shepards prevented the police from entering the house on Monday afternoon for a time, but when they finally got in, they were shocked at the scene that they encountered.
Meanwhile, wrestling fans from around the world are in shock and mourning, trying to understand the black mark that is now staining what was an amazing wrestler’s career.

Honestly, with the finding of steroids in his house, it’s conceivable that Benoit may have snapped. It can happen when you’re using steroids, and if (God forbid) it were mixed with alcohol, it would only fuel the rage. After reading the reports about this for the better part of the day, it almost sounds like Benoit killed his wife and son during a ‘roid rage, and when he came down he simply could NOT comprehend what he had done. This is what led him to take his own life. The bibles found near his wife and child may have been done before he took his own life, as a gesture for God to guide them.
