Atlas Brought in by WWE, Surprising Details on Cade’s Release
-Wrestling Observer reports: One of many reasons why WWE brought Tony Atlas was so he could be a good influence to Mark Henry on the road. Henry often traveled alone and was said not an healthy eater. WWE officials are concerned about his weight. Atlas, who is in his early 50s, is in fantastic shape due to his strict training schedule and healthy eating habits. -New information has surfaced on Why WWE Releases Lance Cade. Jason Powell of prowrestling.net reports that the abuse of prescription drugs is what made Cade have an seizure Cade had during a flight. Usually WWE would suspend wrestlers who are found abusing prescription drugs for 30-60 days, however, considering the abuse in Cade’s case resulted in a potentially life threatening seizure, they decided to terminate his contract.
Following the seizure, on the plane, Lillian Garcia informed flight attendants that Cade was a professional wrestler. Upon landing of the airplane Cade was rushed to an nearby hospital where he was still incoherent. While at the hospital the nusres ras a series of test to detremine whether is was an athletic problem or related to an abuse of drugs. Now upon this reports drug abuse may have been the key factor to cade seizure on the plane, resulting to his firing from WWE.
