Another WWE Wrestler Becoming a Star
Vince McMahon has been pushing a number of his wrestlers hard in order to make them movie stars - some of them, however, become stars even after they’ve gotten free of the WWE. Take, for instance, Robert Maillet - the name Robert Maillet may not be familiar to you, but how about the name Kurrgan?
In 1997 he and Jackyl were part of the Truth Commission for WWE. Since his stint in the WWE, however, he’s now become a regular in movies. In 2007 he played the Uber-Immortal in the popular movie 300.
Now he’s poised to become even more famous by acting alongside the famous Robert Downey Jr. in the new movie, Sherlock Holmes. Unfortunately it seems like a former WWE Wrestler is a bit too strong for Mr. Downey.
A day or so ago, Robert was acting with…umm…Robert…when he accidentally hit him! “Robert was accidentally caught on the chin by a thundering hook. He went flying and was out cold.”
Iron Man can’t take a hit on the chin? Hope Downey Jr.’s all right - and best of luck to Robert Maillet, who seems poised for success despite not being part of the WWE anymore!
